I am fortunate enough to have 8 grandkids. Six grandaughters & two grandsons. The boys & one of the girls are from my son-in-laws previous marriage. There is no way I would show particially as his kids are every bit as dear to me as my two daughters' kids are. At times I think they even show me more repect & concern as my 'natural' grandkids do. The youngest grand child is 4 - the oldest is 17.  They all call me maw - started by the oldest one who of course when she first started talking couldn't say grandma. Now my son-in-law & his siblings all call me maw. I have been blessed, none of them have any major health issues & it breaks my heart to see them growing up so fast!

I have 6 grandcildren ranging in age from 12 to 22.  My son and his first wife had 3 boys and then my son married a lady with one girl and they had a boy.  My ex daughter-in-law and her second husband had a boy.  I've had a ton of fun with all these kids.  It's been much better than being a parent and we're getting ready to have a great-granddaughter around the end of March.  Unfortunately, my oldest grandson is in the military and they probably won't be stationed very close as she grows up but they are fairly close now and we intend to enjoy Madison while we can.

I am not blessed with grandchildren yet nor do I want to be for about another 17 years,  Sadly my parents have opted to only see my children once per year. 4.0 GPA's, well-behaved by anyone's standards, athletic and very personable are not deterrants to visitation. When my children do visit my parents the visit is shared with my niece or whatever new low-life friend my parents seem to have adopted for the quarter.

I am thankful that I do not have grandkids yet as my daughter is only 19 and no where near ready to be a parent.  My mother though has 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren! :angel11:

I'm not a grandparent or even a mom yet but I'm one of 24 grand-children on my mom's side of the family. I'm the oldest of 5 grand-children on my father's side.

I have 6 between the ages 3 and 5.  3 of each.  I miss the four that live in other states very much.  I am hoping to get to see my sons kids this year.

I am not old enough to be a grandparent, but I am lucky enough to have known all 4 of my grandparents and 3 great-grandparents throughout my life. Now, there are only 3 grandparents left, but I know how lucky I am to have known them all this long. I just got married and now feel like I have 2 more grandparents with the addition of my husband's family.

I have three grandchildren, a boy 20, boy 17 and girl 18.  We have been very close through their lives.  We take annual summer vacations together for two weeks and also take winter vacations together, up until this year.   the winter ones are a lot harder now as the two oldest are in college and we haven't been able to coordinate their spring breaks.  We have created a lot of happy memories.
