I know everyone will laugh at me for it but The Ring scared me to death. It wasn't that the movie was scary to watch but having my tv right in front of my be at night i found myself looking at it wondering if a girl would come out of it to try and kill me.lol

I saw the Excorcist when I was twelve and was terrified for six months after...looking under my bed, checking out my closet, saying my nighttime prayers more than once.  Silence of the lambs was pretty mind-blowing as well.  I have shared both with my children, ages 11 and 13, and they were somewhat non-plussed.  I think that today's technology and computer enhancement has diminished the impact that these movies once had.

When I was very young, I remember seeing a British film about the aftermath of nuclear war called Threads. That one scared me to death. Some really well done crime films, like Seven or Silence of the Lambs scared me too.  I love horror movies, but they usually don't scare me. Real things, like crime or war; those are the things that scare me.

I don't know why, but The Ring scared me so much. I know its dumb and I cannot figure out why it does, but it is definitely my favorite scary movie. I like being scared and love horror movies. Great question!

That frikkin "The Grudge" movie... I don't know why it scared the crap out of me but it did... every time I start to go up the stairs, I half expect to see some Japanese chick crawling down the stairs at me.

all of these movies scare me to death! dead girls with long black hair are terrifying to me. i LOVE scary movies! but these are the ones that make me keep my light on at night O_o
