Old Buddy always has great ideas, and I think they are all worthwhile in trying. I'd like to add on one of my own, if it's okay. And if it's not, let me know, and I'll delete this post.

I started Fusion Cash in November. To-date, I have 10 Referrals. None have cashed out YET, but it's early, and I know that one of them is close, possibly this month they'll make it. Eight out of the 10 come from one place, the other two are personal referrals. It cost me absolutely nothing to get them, and very little time invested in setting this up.

Here's the flow of events. Go to this particular site. Click on Ads to earn Credits. Set up a program to promote the site you're seeking referrals for. Use the credits as reward credits to people who sign up under you. They sign up, BAM, you got a referral, no money involved.

Drawback #1. You're in competition with other people launching similar programs, offering various incentives, and credit amounts. If I were to offer 2 credits to sign up for FC, someone else might offer 3, and get the referral. But I can go in the next day and offer 4 credits. BEST OFFER WINS, is what it comes down to.

Drawback #2. I can't give you the link to this company, because of FC rules, but some searching would reveal it easily.

I suppose I could tell you what to search for, but that's cutting hairs with the rules, and I'll await the Admin's permission before I do that. But it is an alternative to investing ANY money. Although, you also have the ability to BUY the CREDITS directly, if you want to. The more credits you got, the more referrals you can go after.

Just an additional thought to add to Old Buddy's.

Oldbuddy has brought up an excellent point on this posting.  A free way is to establish relationships with others of like minded people on social networks and tell them how you are earning free money.  This method has worked the best for me.

I've heard about using a different site than was recommended in the original post to buy ads. So, if one were to use more than one site, perhaps they'd get more money? I just started, so I haven't tried them yet. It sounds reasonable to spend a little to make a bunch more. The only problem was I was skeptical about a lot of sites like this until I found someone I trusted to tell me about their experiences. So, how do you make it sound trustworthy and worthwhile?
