Which ereader is better? The Amazon Kindle or The Barnes and Noble Nook?

Since I only own a Kindle, I'm a little biased....I think it's great! And the tons of free books you can download...amazing!

I don't have either, my mom want's a kindle.  I don't think for a particular reason other than some surveys sites reward is an Amazon e-certificate and she then can save for it.

i happily own the nook color & it is fantastic!!  my close friend also has a nook & she loves it.  my aunt has a kindle & prefers my nook color to her kindle.  i have heard so many great reviews of the b&n nook & i agree that it is the best by far of the ereaders.  for me, the kindle screen is so drab & gray.  if i wanted to constantly look into that dreary screen, i'd rather it be in the actual pages of a real book.  the nook color on the other hand, is vibrant & cheery.  youknow you are reading an electronic book but it makes it more fun!  also the children's books are fantastic!!  they can even be read to you & your child!!  i'm not sure that the kindle offers those, but my son loves it!!

I've never used either one, but I have the Kindle app on my cell phone and it works great. I already had an Amazon account so I didn't have to set up anything new. I like simplicity.

i have not tried  either so i don't know but as far as i am concerned nothing beats an old fashioned book. i can't handle looking at a computer screen for more than an hour at a time but i can stare at the pages of a book for hours on end

I can get a free book app on my Lg Optimus S and its better then a kindle, i get books on my phone so I dont have to pay for a kindle. I can make a amason kindle account on my phone for that but I choose not to because I found something better.

i love my kindle.. i have had it for over a year and couldn't be happier... i dont know much of the nook though i have heard good things from friends, but the kindle was i no brainer for me because i shop amazon at least once a month.

i like real books even though i can't carry around 1000 of them all the time.
