If a guy really loves his new girlfriend and wants a true relationship then yes he should care for the children. It is a package deal. It will not be easy but it is the right thing to do and the children deserve it and may indeed need it. :)

If a guy wants to be with a woman with kids he has to accept the kids or don't date her.  The woman needs to make it clear from the beginning what is expected of him when taking care of the kids and how far she wants him to take it as far as discipline or financial responsibilities it should be talked about when they start to get serious.  Some women are just looking for someone to take care of them and their kids and if that's what the man wants to do that's him.  If they are not his kids he is not obligated to take care of them.  If he wants to do so on his own and take care of that responsibility that's his choice.

I personally will not date someone with kids for various reasons including the drama that goes along with it.
