How do you relax after a long day?
« on: January 25, 2011, 11:07:29 am »
After starting my day making breakfast for the family, cleaning up the house, working out, working at my job with the kids, and coming back home to cook dinner whew I outta breath. I make sure after I get everyone to sleep(two kids and hubby yes I have to have alone time at least 15 mins)I make a nice bubble bath and if its the weekend a tall glass of wine.If he still woke we stay up and watch movies (:

I always read the Bible at the end of the day and try to mediate on it. After that, I look back what I accomplish and very thankful for a wonderful day pass once again. ;D

Excellent choice, can't think of anything that could issue shalom than the Bible... I do it in the morning, by night fall my mind is frosted. I use to read the Bible at night, just find myself so tired. But I do prison ministry and that is usually what I do at night write letters.  :dontknow:

reading is my favorite thing to do when relaxing :) few things can loosen up your mind more than diving into a story that has nothing to do with your everyday life, it's a nice escape.

I plan alone time--usually just ends up falling asleep from exhaustion.  So my alone time is actual bed time sleep.

I got one of the Barnes and Noble Nooks for Christmas and I read that when I"m trying to wind down and my husband can be sound asleep next to me and I don't bother him....takes me longer to get to sleep.   If any of you are Dexter fans, there are a series of books about him starting "Darkly Dreaming Dexter".....WOW.....nothing like the show...even better.   :star:

These days I like to sit in front of the space heater with my oldest cat and warm up.
