I have one bank but 4 Credit Cards.  I use them all the time and use them more if the particular credit card is giving an offer from purchasing groceries or home improvement.  Sometimes I have bought gift cards so I can max out the rewards the credit cards are doing.

I have bank accounts at two different at brick-and-mortar banks, a credit union and several online banks.  I like to spread my money around.

Well it is very easy to get the accounts mixed up, when you have more that one bank account.  I have two accounts myself and it is not easy keeping up with what comes in and goes out of each one. I get them mixed up sometimes.

I actually had to pause and count.....5 checking, 3 high yield savings, 3 Visas, 2 Master Cards, 2 AmEx.

Why so many? Capitalism, baby.  You want my business....better be competitive.

I personally have three credit unions and one regular bank accounts.  And to be quite honest with you, I only really use one of them on a regular basis.  Now in days, especially with all of the bank failures, I think it is a very good idea to have more than just one bank.  It protects my money and as one person already stated, it makes a bank work hard for more of my business/money.  Great question!!

I have 2 checking accounts and a savings at one bank. I do however hold numerous credit cards with several different establishments. As of now I am working to reduce the number of credit cards I carry as well as the "potential balance" of those cards. It's getting really hard to buy a house and since that is the goal. I'm working toward a) getting out of debt entirely and b) making my "line of credit" manageable because I was told that if you have say $100,000 (which I don't LOL) potentially available to you to charge the banks look unfavorably on that when you apply for a mortgage.

I have one checking account, one joint savings account with my husband, and one credit card. I think this is plenty for right now as I just finished school and am looking to start work and a life of my own. Once we get settled, I will look into spreading my money out more for protection.

I keep one account separate.  My adult children bank at that bank and I am often their ATM machine.  I can transfer money to them via the bank system and they can pay me back the same way.  I also have a credit card with that bank.  It has a low balance, so I use it for online purchases.

I have a High Yield Online Savings Account with American Express Savings Account and they have been great.  I was earing 1.3% but now I am earning 1.15%.  It sure beats my bank at 0.07%.
