How long does everyone keep their Christmas lights up?

We already took down the outside lights, but we still have our tree up. I feel like we just put it up, I don't wanna take it down already. Plus, it's too pretty to take down yet. We'll probably keep it up a couple more weeks.

Good question here...I finally took my lights down on the 8th of January.  This is the longest they have been up after the New Year.  I guess next year I will have to do a better job.

 take mine down the next day and I take mine tree down Christmas night. I'm always ready to get everything clean up,

There are different people out there in the world some keep them up all year long and some take them down the same night as Christmas some take their lights and stuff down new years eve and some take them down new years day as long as you are happy with how you do it just be happy to have christmas all together

I don't stick to any particular schedule of putting up lights and taking them down. Currently, mine are still up. I plan on taking them down by this weekend, if the weather doesn't force me to hibernate that is. (:

I use too take it down after the 1st,  but now just a few days after Christmas

Christmas lights are for christmas time... not the whole year.
When lights are put up say around the beginning of December that's cool because it brings the warm holiday feeling in and gets everyone in the mood.
Once christmas is over, the feeling seems to immediately fade out and we focus on celebrating the New Year approaaching. Anytime before January first is a good time to take down the lights, pack them up and get on with your life until next christmas season.

I just took them down today! Only because they are re-leveling our apartments, otherwise they would have stayed for another week.

The tradition in my family is to keep them up until Jan. 6th the Feast of the Epiphany (Little Christmas)

Our family doesn't put up lights, but some people in our neighborhood keep their decorations up for a while. One family has a nativity scene and reindeer, and they were still up in March last year!
