I heard today thsat gas prices may go up to $5.00 this summer. I hope this does not happen. But we aLL need to live with the reality that we are subject to other people's greed when it comes to setting gas prices.

Rising gas prices are a pain, but remember that we've extracted all the easy-to-obtain oil. Extraction and refining are harder and more expensive now.

The gas prices are unreal!  It is about $3 a gallon here in N.C.  and they say it will be $4 by the summer!    We live about 25 minutes from everything so we are having to make sure that we get what we need all at one time while we are out!

Yeah, energy and food going up but still no inflation????   :dontknow:   I look forward to the day when most cars will run on electricity or some other alternative. Of coarse by then we'll be paying $4 a gallon for water....

I know that the prices are extreme! I remember when I was a teenager it was like a dollar a gallon and we thought that was high. I drive an SUV so I know how expensive it can be to fill up a vehicle. We have just had to cut down on trips to see our family that lives out of town. I have thought about buying a little car that gets better gas milage but after hitting a 300lb mule deer with my kids in my car I can't seem to bring myself to buy something small. If we would have been in a small car we all would have been hurt. But since my vehicle is large noone even had a scratch, or stiff neck after the wreck.

This was part of "THE CHANGE" we was promised. You can help change it back by contacting your Delegates or Congressman for your area. We the people need to be involved more with what is happening in D.C.

Gas prices are a result of speculation and economic crap, not of any real supply and demand issues.  We still have a major surplus of both oil and natural gas specifically because demand hasn't really recovered.

So much complaining. Did you know that the US has some of the cheapest gas prices in the developed world? Be thankful it has stayed this low for so long. Check out "gasoline and diesel usage and pricing" on wikipedia if you want to see what other countries pay for gas. It is a limited resource and we will need to find alternatives. Maybe gas prices going up can be that motivator.

Gas prices are high, so now is a good time to spend some of that gas money on a good bike or walking shoes. That's what I plan on doing. I'll drive when necessary, but right now can't afford the gas prices, and in the process of saving money and the ozone, I'l be working on my health.

As I watch the gas price go up I remember back to when there was a gas shortage.  I can remember my parents only being able to get gas on even days of the month because of the plates on the car.  I can remember having to travel for a family emergency and having trouble gettign gas.  I think this is almost like the same thing the only difference it is not a shrotage it is from price.  So I am trying to use some of the stragies that my mom and dad used back then.  Combine all trips I can to town, only go when have to, and try to use my reward points when I can.
