Do You Think Marijuana Should Be Legalized ?

    With all the additions of medical use for cancer and other terminal diseases I would say of course. I work with the surviving i would like to call them but some call then the dying and if you ask them theres nothing in pill form that they are able to take with less side affects. And you can get it in pill form for just that reason. Never the less its not a man made plant its been around for centuries. There for if you want to bring up the bible go head its in there that followers were partaking in smoking a plant, clothes were made from this plant and other part of the bible mention this special plant being not of sin! Its never killed anyone! Whats the worst that could happen munchies,weight gain,dry mouth also known as cotton mouth and laughter who doesn't need more laughter???

Absolutely. The Scandinavian countries have legalized every drug (except heroin) and there levels of drug-related crime are way lower than the U.S. and an other country for that reason. It solves some of economic issues as well and really marijuana is in many ways way less harmful than alcohol. Drunk driving accounts for millions of death each year, high driving and other marijuana related activities are a fraction of that. Legalize.

Yes, I think so. Have marijuana legal and taxable would be good for the economy and job creation. Besides, it truly does help so many people.  Alcohol and tobacco are both more addictive, and deadlier ... It's nearly impossible to overdose on marijuana while an overdose on alcohol is common.

I don't know if there are any studies of marijuana and cancer though. So I can't really compare with tobacco. I imagine it would be less because usually marijuana does not have anything added to it when people smoke, but cigarettes have a lot of chemicals and etc. There are nearly 600 additives that can be added to tobacco, and a lot of them are chemicals that are very dangerous when burnt which is why smokers get lung problems, cancer, etc.

Yes, it should be legalized - and not just for medical use.  Just tax it extremely heavily.  The government gets their cut, people are deterred due to the prices, but the people who really want to use it get their legal avenue to do so.

I am all for legalized pot as a means to cutting down drug trafficing and as a means to helping people that are needing it for medical reasons as some other countries have also legalized other drugs maybe our country should look into that possibility.

There is nothing wrong with legalizing marijuana. The reason the goverment doesn't want to do it is because they are making too much mony off of it right now, from catching the people who are doing it illegally.

The real question isn't "should marijuana be legalized?", the question is: does the government really have the right to regulate personal behavior that afects no one but yourself. if i sit in my living room and smoke a joint, who do i hurt? nobody. does the government have the right to tell me what i can and cant put into my own body? thats the bigger issue here. aside from all of the uses marijuana has other than a recreational substance, it is a social choice and i shouldnt be prosecuted for making that choice.

Yes. Tax and regulate it with the same laws that apply to alcohol AND cigarettes, since pot has the properties of both these substances. I'm ok with people smoking it as long as they stay the hell away from me. And it does have beneficial medical uses...pot allowed my brother to hold down his chemo meds when he had Stage 2 colon cancer. The stuff made him cough, but it may very well have saved his life!!

Might as well be legalized because no matter what the government does people are going to use it anyway.  But if your in the Governator's state, if you get caught, expect to pay a $100 fine but no jail time.

It should definitely be legalized.  Its funny how people can smoke for years and years and when you go to the doctor he tells you your lungs are clear as day.  An alcoholic on the other hand is suffering from liver disease and alcoholism itself.  Doesn't that say something???
