Netflix offer
« on: December 20, 2010, 06:08:12 pm »
So we finally got a PS3, yes we're a little behind in times. When I had a roommate websites apparently were not up to date yet cause we could stream hulu and a few others but now they want you to buy their packages.

We're tossing up Hulu Plus and Netflix, I figure if I do Netflix I'll sign up thru here but besides that bonus, what is everyone elses experience?  Do you prefer one over the other? Or is there another one out there you would recommend? Thanks!

I just signed up with Netflix - figures I'd forget to check here to see if there was an offer for signing up first (I was too excited to stream it to my new Wii to think about FC, lol). But if it is anything similar to how it works with the Wii, I would say that Netflix is for sure worth trying out, I really like it, so many options of movies and tv series shows! I have used Hulu but never Hulu Plus, so I'm not sure which would be better for you, but I have no complaints with NetFlix! Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thanks pridegirl I think I am going to go ahead and do netflix, I'll see how it goes for a month or two then we'll just stop using it!

I'm still curious if anyone has used huluplus, just so I understand it better. Here is what I am thinking thou, netflix has great recent movies but the tv shows they offer are already on dvd. Huluplus offers recently aired tv shows but old classic movies.

Does the netflix's offer still count if your rejoining netflixs? because me and my fiance already did the netflix trail but not through fusion cash so if we signed up with netflix again (cause were deciding to just pay for it) will it approve or no, not without the trial?

I think it means first time joiners.  If you've been a member of Netflix before then I don't think it will credit you again, even though you quit in the past.

Netflix is what I have and I use it every single day. Even on my ipod. Hulu (free) is good but the menus are a lot more complicated. If Hulu plus is anything like that, I'm not sure. If you want to watch on you computer, go with either one. But If you want to watch on TV and you have Wii or anything else, Netflix is great because its REALLY simple. :peace:

I also believe that you can only get credit for the Netflix offer if you have never been a member.  It is for first time users only.  I do not have Netflix because I have digital cable with 4 or 5 premium channels.  My cable company gave me a promotion that I could not resist.  But I know people who have Netflix and they love Netflix.  They swear by Netflix.   So, Enjoy your Netflix.

We signed up for the netflix and I have a handful of things in my instant que but it's kinda disappointing, the lack of newer movies that is, seems like everything is dvd and I know it's only an extra $2 a month but I heard the wait time on those can be long too. I can't complain thou w/the FC payout and the one month free. The fiancee wants to do the huluplus 7 day trial the last week of our netflix trial then decide from there.

Netflix works better for us then the blockbuster.  I like them better.  We use it more in the winter and cancel it in the summer because we are never home in the summer so we use it when the weather gets bad and discountinue it when we don't watch.  We don't have cable so it gives my son something different to watch for family night and we don't want to go out and rent a movie.
