The employment rate is too high. Too much competition even in a regular job like a waiter or a high-level job like an IT engineer. I am doing a transportation driver. I hate my job, but still have to do it because if i dont do it, my family will have to move out of the apartment. Life is so realistic in this country!

I have not seen the economy this bad before. The competition is tight for minimum wage jobs and if you have been laid off from a higher paying job in a field with lower demand, God help you.

Welcome to the real world.  It also really sucks if you're a college kid with minimal experience.  Usually companies want experienced workers.  Which is great.  But we're never gonna get any experience if we can't get a job somewhere.  ughhhhhhh.  :crybaby2:

Why is the economy so bad? We had money before and everything was grand. Where did the money go? It didn't disappear, someone has it and they're just hoarding not spending and not letting it circulate in the economy where it needs to be for everything to be grand again

The economy is terrible.  Recent college graduates now have to compete with laid off experienced workers in their 30's and 40's.  Even low paying jobs are hard to come by these days.  I know a lot of people in the same predicament, especially people living in depressed areas.  I could really go on all day about this.  Most of the products we use are not made here in the U.S. (That is one big reason right there for starters).  Real Estate bubble, companies such as AIG, and many more reasons it is hard to find a regular job.
