Do you make Christmas candy?
« on: December 08, 2010, 09:37:54 am »
For years I made lots of peanut brittle and gave it away at Christmas.  I have also made fudge and some other specialties.  I am hungry for some chocolate goodies now.

I am currently in the process of doing it. I just sat down to take a break since my feet hurt from standing for so long. I made peanut brittle, sponge candy, fudge, peanut butter *bleep*, toffee, oreo bark, and I'm going to start on the chocolate covered peanut butter ritz cracker things shortly. I make a bunch and put them in containers for Christmas gifts. It takes a bit of time, but the neighbors, mailman, and friends enjoy it.

My aunts make sponge candy.  I stick with oreo truffles (but, really, they're good for any season <3)

For the first time I am making jelly candies covered in sugar which are so good when you buy them in the store. after buying all the ingredients, I don't think it's cheaper.
