So...NFL has been "cracking down" on hits in the NFL this year....what are people's thoughts? are they being tough enough? fair? etc....

I understand what the NFL is trying to do but it is a fine line that they walk. Football is a rough game and it is difficult to legislate the physicallness out of it. O f course look at all the injuries to the Colts this year and you can see why they have to do something. I as a fan don't want to see all second and third stringers by the end of the season. Based on the injuries I am also against the 18 game season, I don't see how teams have enough players left at the end of the season.

Don't get me wrong it is a good idea, they are trying to protect the players and this is good. I don't want to see a players career end over a hit.But some of the calls they made this year were very bad and it's taking away from the way the game is played.
