Don't you just hate that ad?

It's a literate fact that commercials of any kind TV, radio, etc. are made to be understood with someone with a 3rd grade intelligence.  They want everyone to get the message behind the stupid venue.  There are some that are humorous, but not many.  I hate the lingos they sing along with them.  I can still remember commercial songs today I heard in the 60's.  Now if that's not taping into the grey matter, I don't know what is.

I don't watch TV, so I miss most of the innate hawking of merchandise.  Now if we can just get rid of the pop-up ads on the computer..............

What ad to you hate the most......
Mine is a jewelry ad where a couple is looking out a plate glass window and there is a storm outside, lightening and thunder explodes and she freaks and he says (with a smile you would give a two year old) "its okay, I'm right here and I always will be" while she trembles on his shoulder.....oh, gack me.

On the other side of the coin, I LOVE the ads with the baby investor!!  Also the new ad with the baby going in and out of traffic in his walker!

i LOVE that baby! my husband cracks up everytime he sees them, especially the one where they are on the plane and the other baby says "dad?" when the pilot comes over the speakers

as for commercials i hate... i can not stand the ones for your baby can read. the so-called expert guy makes me want to punch my tv! so annoying!

Yeah, you're rght about the ads we hate being ones we remember so the ad men have successfully completed their missions.  I forgot about the lame-o credit report guy.  I also love the baby investor....what will they do when he isn't a baby any more!
