I wish I had some leftover turkey to eat today.  But I'm thankful I did not have to cook dinner.  My husband and I have been fortunate enough to have been invited to my brother's and sister-in-law's for the last several years.  She has a lovely dinner with lots of relatives and friends.  I am getting some good naps today, though.  :)

I got lucky and did not have to cook this year. I took a plate home, but with no turkey on it. It makes me too sleepy!

I wish :)  We went to a friend's house so I don't have any turkey which is one of my very favorite meats.  We will be going to our son's this weekend so we'll be getting more.

My parents sent me home with a nice bag of leftover turkey, and 4 slices of pumpkin pie.  Still have the turkey, but the pie is long gone - lol.    ;D

Akin to the 25 days of Christmas are the 16 days of turkey leftovers. Turkey tacos/pizza/pasta/salad/omelettes/sandwiches...we spend hours thinking of new and creative ways to utilize all of the leftovers!

We had turkey and ham sandwiches for lunch and then for supper we are heating up the leftovers and then what ever is left is going to the trash.  u can only eat turkey and trimmings for so long and then its gross.
