I can proudly say that I am prior military.  I served 6 years in the Army and got out in 1989.

We're an active duty Marine Corps family. My husband spent seven months in Afghanistan. The bad news is that he got injured while he was there. The good news is, because of the injury, he can't be deployed ever again.

Deployment was the worst and best thing that ever happened to both of us. It did, however, make us realize that our marriage is strong beyond belief. We can get through anything!
