What was your Favorite Board game as a child?

I use to love to play games .... even when my son was growing up I was the one that always wanted him to play games with me!   I loved clue.

Monopoly was a favorite for me as a child and is still a favorite today!   My family loves to play it!

My favorite board game  as a child was chutes and ladders.   For some silly reason I always enjoyed the sliding down the chutes a lot more than climbeing up the ladders.  Go figure.

Monopoly without a doubt.  Clue is probably in second place.

My favorites were Chutes and Ladders and Mousetrap as a real youngster, then as I got older, Monopoly and Clue. I also got a "bookshelf" game at an auction that sounded interesting -- Dune (a board game based off of the novels). I really thought that would've been a great game to play, except that the rules were very complex (for example, each faction had different winning conditions like the Bene Gesserit could win if they predicted which other faction would win) so no one wanted to sit down with me and learn them.

When I was a little kid probably chutes and ladder and connecgt 4. When I got older games like sorry and life were fun. Even a little bit older I liked card games such as bridge and rummy.

One of my sons loved that game.  But like you said, it was too deep and complex for just anyone to want to play with him.  Thank goodness, he had 2 friends into things like that, that would play it with him. (We three moms took turns letting them stay overnite just so they would have quality time to play.)
