need opinions

    :dog:I am in need of different opinions on the subject of "what can be known" and yes; this is for a philosophy class but I have permission from the instructor to get different viewpoints about this topic from different sites and individuals as long as these individuals are "credited" correctly; so if anybody would like to share their view about this subject please do so and please so you get credit for the quote let me know how you prefer to be referenced (I think that is the word I am looking for?)My main point is that I want to credit the individual's viewpoints correctly.

"what can be known" meaning?

This is highly subjective.  Many people claim to "know" g-d, and many others insist that it is not possible.  What is right and wrong is also subjective to many.  What guides that difference between right and wrong?  Is it because there is something to be gained by doing "right" or is altruistic goodness something that exists?  Is it right to slap someone if they slap you first or if they offend you?  Is this an eye for an eye?  Is an eye for an eye right?  Because if you dish out what someone else dishes out because they did it first, are you doing something "good" or "right" or should you be above the act they dished out and ignore it? 

Someone once asked how a person can know they are alive, and the response was "I think therefore I am" but how can you be sure that this is true?  We don't know for sure what happens to people who are in comas, and dreams are often so real that we wake up confused thinking they really happened.  Who knows...I could be dreaming that I'm posting here on FusionCash right now.

This is just more of a view point on what can be known so I am looking for different thoughts about the subject, hope this helps.
