Hi everyone.  I hope your Easter was good.  I tried to post yesterday but FC was running so slow and my message just sat on the clock.  I was in a rush so shut down.

We had a busy weekend.  She sealed the deck, which is quite large, built my above ground grow box, put on a new door *bleep* in the garage, housecleaning, shopping, etc so we were on the run.

Busy week ahead too.  I'm looking forward to spring break in May for sure!!!~

I am a 31yo (32 in 14 days), father of two kids but not biologically, unemployed man who is just trying to get this damn felony off my record so I can at least get looked at in the job market. But I do enjoy grilling outside on a nice day with the dogs and the family. I want to go back to school for business soon and really hope that works out for me cuz I'm going stir crazy not working. I have a timeshare but can't use it due to overbooking and NO EXTRA $. Well I hope everyone's week is blessed and fun filled... :icon_rr:

That has happened to me before with the running slow and not getting my message to go through.

Goodness, you all did a lot this weekend!  Definitely on the run.  I know you are more than ready for May!

Quiet day today.  Roddy had to run his bus for the other county, but our county was still off today, so my son and daughter had it off.  My daughter, however, filled in for Roddy's monitor (and me since I'm the sub) so she will get paid an extra day.  I had a bad reflux attack with the spasm (where it feels like what they say a heart attack feels like) which triggered the asthma again.  So today is another inside rest day for me.  My lung doctor is calling me back tomorrow about it.

Hope today went well for you.  My dil's mom FB messaged me that dil is expecting, due in Dec.

Talk to you later!

Julie

Hi and welcome - it's nice to meet you.  I hope things work out for you with a job - so needed by so many of us, but not so many available with today's economy.  Good luck with that and going back to school for business sounds like a great idea.  I hope your week is going well, too.  :)

Good luck to you.  It sounds like you have the wolves beating at your door but keep your spirits up and do what's right and it will all fall in place.

Julie,

Sorry you are still battling.  What did the doc say yesterday?

On the run this morning.  I fell to sleep way too early last night.  Didn't get the supper dishes done and have those and other chores to get done before school this morning.  I don't like feeling so rushed.  I'm tired and just don't feel like doing all the daily things a woman is expected to do right now.  I'd eat a p&b sandwich and move on.  :)

I got to watch my four-year-old grandson yesterday while his mother had a doctor's appointment, and today the three of us went to the park and watched him play and ride his bike.  I love watching the changes that each age brings.  When you are a parent, sometimes you miss so much just having to keep up with parenting and making a living.  Grandparents have the best job.  Four is a great age.  They love to be loved and to be watched -  "Watch this, Grammy" and "Look at me, Grammy."  And then "Watch me, Grandpa" when grandpa is along.  We are having the time of our lives.  Our daughter was an only child, and now we get to watch a boy grow up.

I agree with you!  There's just nothing like a grandchild's love for us.  I'm glad you got to spend time with him yesterday and having fun at the park.  That is making some special and great memories.  :)

Shows how tired you are with falling asleep too early.  You are doing so much between school, interning, home, family, outside things - no wonder!  I feel for your tiredness and can relate.  Just take care of you and stop and rest now and then when you feel overtired.  {{Hugs}} to you.

The dr. prescribed an antibiotic for the bronchitis, along with using the nebulizer, which I was already using.  She said if I have another attack like Friday and/or Sunday, to have my family take me in to ER so they can do more while I'm having a hard time of it.  I hope that doesn't happen - I don't want to go there!

I'll be babysitting my little buddy Thurs. and Fri. afternoon, and probably next week.  I do enjoy that time with him.  I so miss my grands and he acts like we are his family - that means a lot!

Hope tomorrow is better for you!  Get some rest!

Julie  :)

Good morning ladies,

I agree with the grandbabies stuff.  I don't get to see mine near often enough either.  One is older, married and living in California and the other two live in West Virginia.  I saw them quite often when they were smaller but I can't travel the way I used to.

Julie I sure hope the antibiotics kick in and you feel better soon.  I fear this will be a bad spring and summer for allergies because of the mild winter.  Do you feel better or worse when it's raining?  Rain get wet the pollen down but then the humidity sometimes will affect your breathing too.  It's just a constant battle.

I signed up to help transcribe the 1940 census and did two pages last night.  Off to try to get another done this morning.  I found my mother but have yet to find my dad and his family.  It's really not searchable yet so you have to page through the various enumeration areas to find people.

TTYL,

Kim

Hi Kim,

I agree, spring and summer are not easy at all for those suffering with allergies and/or asthma.  The rain does help a lot, when the humidity is low afterwards.  But not when it's high and sticky and overwhelmingly hot air to try and breathe in.  It really is a constant struggle.

I saw you were helping transcribe the 1940 Census.  I'm really not sure what that means to help?  I re-joined Ancestry.com and am looking at the 1940 Census for helps and clues on my family sides.  It's fun but so time consuming, when you have to branch out from this link to follow something, only to have the other links waiting; then following links from those links, lol.  But it's well worth it!  And I'm glad you've found your mother!

Hanging in there today.  We have a Church Business Meeting tonight, so I have my last quarter's notes and minutes typed and ready.

Hope your day is productive and nice for you!

Julie  :)

I have been a member of Ancestry.com off and on for several years.  I enjoy looking for my ancestors, but I do agree it does take a lot of time.  I have actually found some cousins I didn't know I had and have corresponded with them.  I am planning to meet one of them that lives fairly close to me sometime soon, I hope.  We are now friends on Facebook and keep in touch.  I am a little disappointed in the 1940 census.  I thought it would be indexed by name.  Maybe I should watch the tutorial.  :)

Juanita,

I love doing research on my family tree and have found out a lot about all sides of my family.  I too have met cousins that I didn't know I had in the process.  I'm still a member of Ancestry but just not a paid subscriber at this time.

You should watch the tutorial so you can figure out how to find your family in the 1940 census.  If you can figure out the enumeration district it isn't too hard to find them.

That's neat you are getting to meet a cousin - especially when it's someone you didn't know you even had!  It's nice you are already keeping up on FB.  :)
