Hi Kim,
Today is a rough day. Thank you for checking. Then our pastor's dad called this afternoon and said they were coming so he could cut Roddy's and Adam's hair. Roddy had kind of forgotten to mention it to me, lol. Anyway he and his wife also brought bread, deli meat, and tomatoes so we could eat together. That was nice of them. It was hard to be up and about like that, getting the meat ready, slicing tomatoes, clearing the table better, visiting - I know it doesn't sound like much normally but on my puny weekend it's a lot for me.

But, they are of the mindset that if you don't feel well and have to lay back while visiting, then by all means do that, and let us do the work. Ha Ha! I can't let them do the work, though, they're guests!
I am glad Bob got the alternator fixed for you and like you, am thankful it didn't happen when he's gone working. I hope nothing else goes wrong with it!
You did get a lot done yesterday - maybe not as much to you when you know what you can do or want to do, but to me you did great. It seems like everyday flies by too fast now.
Fixing the turkey and working with the leftovers sounds like a good idea for helping make up for the money used on the car. Most days lately, because of being so tight, we try to eat nutritious but yet cheap. Shepherd's Pie, Spaghetti, Subs the Cribb style, chili w/grilled cheese sandwiches, Hamburger Helper, etc. And since pastor's mom and dad tend their own garden, they keep us well stocked with frozen corn, squash, okra, beans, peas, ...
How did things go with decorating the house for the abused women?
Sorry you haven't been feeling well, yourself. I hope you feel better. You haven't slowed down much so remember to take some rest time to kick your feet up some. I hope Bob is feeling better, too.
I hope they don't give too much homework over the holidays either. I agree: enough is enough! You need some down time - after all, it is holiday time, right!!!
Feel better.
Julie
