Hi Dianne,

Good luck with the sweepstakes!  Let me know how things go with it.  I had my asthma shots today and am not feeling too swift tonight.  I did want to come in and say hi to my friends and earn my daily earnings.  After this, I'm going to try and check my FB page, and then maybe log in to a couple of my games for the daily log-in bonuses.  Then I'm heading night-night!  Talk to you later!

Julie :)

Hi Kim,

I will definitely keep that in mind about crocheting help from you on video.  Great idea!  I can't afford to buy them until next month and I'm looking forward to picking back up with it.

You can't go wrong with scarves!  Most ladies love scarves - I know I do.  I have so many neck scarves to add that little extra to my clothes (especially when I was teaching.)  Then in the fall and winter, I absolutely love the winter scarves, shrugs, shawls, etc.  I think you made a great choice for your teacher!

Tell you what!  Hold off temporarily with the books.  I don't want to add to your frustrations of the rough income patch at all!  You need everything you can get to help you right now.  Seriously, I'm fine!  When you get your backpay and are caught up, then we will hit the mail with our books; lending e-books, etc.!!  Would that be okay?  I want you to concentrate on your needs right now.

It is unfair that they have put you students in this kind of situation, knowing that is how you are paying bills and putting food on the table.  Maybe the state representative is the next step.  We have a tv channel person who intervenes for viewers who are in circumstances and feel like they are being ignored or left in a bind.  He's called Channel 12's Ken on Your Side.  He does really well getting involved for the people and will air it on tv, as well.  He can somehow get behind the scenes and get things moving.  I hope there are people, even the state rep., who can get involved and help you out.  They are going to lose some much needed workers in this field if they don't take care of all of you as promised.  My prayers and thoughts are in force for you.

I've gotten on late tonight.  Just not feeling well after my shots - typical.  Keep hanging in there, Kim.  I wish I could do more!  Talk to you tomorrow!

{{hugs}},

Julie  :)

Good morning all,

Darlene,

I fully applaud your efforts and a busy mind and hands is always best.  Things will work out for you because you have goals and are ambitious.  These are tough times but this slump won't last forever.  Surely we will start to pull out soon.  I do hope the National Guard thing happens for you soon because really good things can come from being affiliated with them.  There is always Peace Corps too if you are interested in travel.  You may not make much money with them but they will see to your daily needs, you earn what is considered a manageable living amount for the area in which you are serving, you get to travel, you learn various things and it looks great on a resume.

Julie, Sorry your shots are doing their normal thing of making you feel bad.  I called the PA Career Link yesterday and asked for my couselor there to call Indiana and try to intervene on my behalf.  She said she would be haven't heard back and here it is the weekend again.  We went to eat dinner with some friends last night and I swear I have never eaten ribs before until last night and these were totally delicious.  I have picked at the meat on ribs and licked the sauce because I don't usually like the fat or grisel on them (I'm picky about meats) but these were really meaty and he had cooked them for about 7 hours in a smoker on a low heat of about 200, then he added a dab of butter and wrapped them in foil.  Later he grilled them and then added his own homemade bbq.  OMG were they good.  I'm going to get his recipe for the sauce.

I'm not feeling real good today either.  Didn't yesterday.  I feel really weak, have been having headaches and this morning I have a bit of a scratchy throat too.  I don't think I'm going to do much around the house.  It's raining again so working outside is out of the question too.

Hope you start to feel better.  TTYL, Kim

Im 17 years old and go by the internet names LThorn14 and YoungMarketer. I started making money online when I was thirteen, and now I make enough to pay for my gas and car insurance with all the sites I use. I love to help people out and give them pointers so they can earn a few more bucks.

I am a senior in high school and am taking some pretty hard classes such as calculus and physics. I plan on going to college at WVU and getting simultaneous bachelor degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering.

Wow impressive.  I'm certainly open to any pointers about earning more money on the internet so hope you'll stop by again and teach me a little of what you know.  Do you live in WV?  My one daughter graduated from WVU and now lives in Beckley.  Great plans for your future...I can't say I'm smart enough, or ever have been, to tackle calculus and physics!

Yes I live in WVU about 20 minutes from charleston. I would give you pointers here but I dont want to hijack this topic.

Google is your friend. You can find me there. Can I find you there?

Hi Kim,

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well this weekend.  I can relate to the weakness - that's one of the side effects I deal with with these shots (on top of my regular weakness, lol.)  I hope you aren't coming down with a summer cold.  Feel better and take advantage of some down time for resting, crocheting, reading, etc.

I'm like you are about ribs.  In fact, I'll ususally get one of the smaller ones that has a little bit of meat and less fat and pick on that.  My hubby likes his done the way your friend does it.  I wonder if it's when it's wrapped in foil that it really helps with making them so tender and good?  I'm glad you enjoyed them - sounds like a great cook friend!

Maybe you'll hear back from your PA Career Link counselor this week.  I hate that you are having to go through this.  You keep doing what you're doing with getting your questions out there.

Rough day today - have rested a lot; tried to do a little housework here and there but tired easily.  Hopefully tomorrow is better.  I know Monday will be!  I hope you feel better.  Have a nice Sunday!

Julie  :)

My daughter lives in Beckley.  You wouldn't be hijacking the topic here.  We talk about anything and everything, however, I guess we would just have to abide by the FC rules.  I don't like to give out personal details on the boards about my real email address and name but if you want to drop me a line at my junk mail address of thesecretanne@yahoo.com I could give you my FB addy and we can hook up with you from there.  Julie if you read this let me know if you are on board too.

Julie,

It sounds like you and I would have made good companions yesterday.  I did leave the house and pick up a friend and we went to a couple of yard sales but I tired out early and came home.  I sat all afternoon and crocheted. Bob isn't feeling real well either so I think we have a bug.  Nothing serious ...just under the weather.

I have gotten around the website for my unemployment it seems.  They were allowing me to file but it was showing pending awaiting job search information for which I am supposed to be exempt.  I had the bright idea though to put my school address in place of where I searched for work and kept stating in the one question box...I am exempt, please tell my TAA representative to fix my login to the site.  Now it appears as if I have 4 paychecks ready to release.  I usually get an email confirmation when the money goes into my account (which I can transfer by phone to my checking or use a special Visa Card to withdraw the money by cash).  This usually happens on Monday so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

I also received 4 papers in the mail asking for job search information, demanding that I fill them out and return them by 9/15.  Tomorrow I am going to take these papers to my TAA advisor here in PA and give them to her to handle.  I've done all I can do, I'm following the rules, making the right telephone calls, writing the right emails and nobody is listening or doing their job.  Wish I had a job with benefits and paychecks like they have.   :notworthy:

Did you see my post on FB about the book I found at the yard sale?  It will be a back burner book as I have a couple on the list ahead of it but it sure sounds interesting.

Hope today is a better one.

I am very impressed with what you are doing with your life at just 17!  YoungMarketer is a very good name for you and your endeavors.  How many sites do you use?  I use 3 mainly - the main 3 that help me earn decently (FC is one of them.)  That is great that you can help others so they can earn, too.

You are a very busy student - I wish you the very best during your senior year and when going to college!!  Hope to see you in here again!  :)

Thanks! I use 2GPT sites, 3PTC sites, and about three social networking site along with many forums to help get referrals. I would give you the names, but I don't want to advertise or spam on here. But I'm not really that hard of a person to find  ;)
Are you on FB?  If so, then I could probably locate you.  I definitely would like to look into some of the ones you are earning from.  Every little bit helps, for sure!  Keep up the great work! :)

I use FB for personal friends not marketing. But I'm pretty good with SEO and made myself easily located by simply my username. Hint hint ;)

Hi Kim,

I went and checked out info on the book you mentioned.  I looked at it on Amazon and read some of the first chapter.  It's pretty good.  Yes, that would make for an interesting and fun read!

Wow!  I can't believe what you have had to go through with your schooling regarding your pay.  Maybe you got to the bottom of things now and it will finally get worked out.  I hope so.  Good detective work!!  Let me know!

I hope you and Bob are feeling better today.  Do you still have some schooling this week or part of the week?  This weekend was just plain yucky.  I think with the upper respiratory thing going on, combined with the shots, just made for an awful couple of days.  My kid's choir, from church, sang their program tonight.  I was so not feeling like being there but did because of their program being tonight.  They did a wonderful job and I'm really proud of them.  They knew I wasn't feeling great and went out of their way to make everything go smoothly on their end (like the talking, lining up, keeping their eyes on me, etc.)  They made the preacher proud with their behavior, smiles, and program.

Hope you have a great start to your week.  Feel better!  Hopefully, Monday will be a new and better day for me, too!  Talk to you later!

Julie  :)

Good Tuesday Morning

Hi,

I didn't realize I hadn't written yesterday.  Guess I got caught up in getting the UC taken care of.  The payment went into the bank yesterday.  Yippee money after a month of drought.  Today it the last day of classes for this semester.  I have one class, one test from 10-11 and then a nice break.

I helped out at the school last night because the cosmotology classes were hosting a 70's hairstyle competition.  I helped serve food and took pictures and video.  I'll be posting to FB later.

I'm glad your church group did you proud.  It makes it so rewarding when you know you've trained them well.

Let me know when you are ready for books Julie.  I think I'm going to read the one These Are My Words first and save my ebook for when school starts back up.

Lthorn...I'll try to find you on the other sites.  I don't know that I have enough time to do much more toward earning cash but it's always nice to know of other ways to add some cha-ching to my wallet. :)

Hey Kim!

Whew!  Glad you are okay - missed ya!  Super glad for you finally getting your money!!  That was just plain ridiculous.  I hope it doesn't happen again.

That was neat helping out at the Hairstyle Competition.  I have a friend here who works at a Salon.  She just attained her degree in actually becoming a teacher now to teach classes for newbies.  She worked hard for that!  They are having some kind of contest coming up for October.  I'll look forward to your pics.

That's great that you are on break now.  I want you to have fun, yet relax, do some things you want to do and enjoying doing, and hopefully spend some quality time with Bob.

As for the books, wait until you have paid things that you need to and are caught up with other things.  If you are doing okay after that, then we can swap out.  If we need to wait until the next pay, that's okay, too.  I just want to make sure you are okay first!!

Hope you have a relaxed evening, knowing you don't have to go in to school tomorrow.  Talk to you later!

Julie  :)
