Hi Jcribb.  Yep school started and things are hectic as expected.  How are things in your world?  I know you live farther south than me but it appears you could have gotten some of this ice/snow mess too.

Most of the ice/snow mess has mainly occurred just barely north of us.  However, we have gotten the rain that just made things an absolute muddy mess with our dirt roads.  It has been very cold, it just seems that it doesn't rain when it's in the twenties or lower thirties here. It waits until the temperature goes up to the upper 30's to rain!! We would love to see some snow, though.  We did last year.

Things are going pretty good.  I was down all last month with asthma/bronchitis flare-ups.  The drs. had me on antibiotics and steroids and kept me home about half that month.  I still don't have much energy and have to use my nebulizer and inhaler daily, but I have managed to go back to work.  Thank goodness, I only work 3 afternoons per week!!

I checked into the Alpine Access and it really looks interesting.  I have to really think if I can put that kind of effort into it, but it is done at home, which would be a big plus for me.  I'm just not sure how I would do with customers but there again, you never know until you try.  I'm also checking into the Kim Komando thing as well.  Thanks for the tips!

I really hope you do well with your schooling.  How long will it last before getting the actual job outside of the training?

Your blog has done really well with new people, as well as the regulars coming in and out!  I enjoy groups like these.  It adds to my day - I look forward to checking them out and making new "friends."  Take care, and we'll "see" you soon!
  :)

I am 57 yrs old and unfortunately I will be working full time until I die.  I have worked my whole life but up until 1999, the only jobs I did were waiting tables. I made excellent money doing this.  The rule was to claim 10% tops  of your tips as income... So now those quarterly reports from Social Security show that I won't even have money to purchase a weeks worth of water if / when  I retire .... Since 1999  I have worked full time also, but I work in manufacturing, so my true income is on the books!  I do these sites because I do need the money.. I only wish I did have more time.. because I would love to volunteer to help.  I am one who does reach out the window to hand a homeless person a dollar or two.. I am not rich, but I pay it forward.  You never know ...

Justmenotis...you'll be fine.  Reach out to the universe when you are in need and those things you have given will come back to you tenfold.

Yeah I think the Alpine is a good choice.  I was actually hired by them but at the time I was working another job 40 hours a week and couldn't commit to 20 (minimum) that they wanted because they operate on Pacific time and that made it too late at night for me to work.  If you like to sleep in and are a night owl it's great though.  It doesn't pay a lot at first but they do give raises.  Everyone I've talked to that works for them love their jobs.  I think you'd do fine.  You're smart and friendly and those are the two most important needs to fill with customer service type jobs.

:cat:  Thank you for the compliment, golotomer.  I'm glad you made the point about the working hours being the Pacific time.  I am most definitely a night owl, so that's a big plus for me.  Also, I could handle the 20 to 25 hours (minimum.)  Would they give me the choice of the amount of hours I could do?  If so, that would be great for me.

Hope your week is going well, everyone!   :)

Yes they do give you a choice of the hours you want to work.  You take them in increments of 1/2 hour blocks.  You have to commit to a minimum 20 hours a week but can work more if you choose. My grand-daughter lives in CA and she is going to check into them too.  Her husband is in the Marines and they only have one car so this is perfect for her.

Let me know what you find out.

I am 21 and a mom to the greatest daughter. I am currently unemployed. My fiance works full time to support us while I take on the housework, daughter and out 4 fluffy children.

I am working on starting my own Fundraising business in Tennessee and will be going to college for my BS in Business management. I am looking forward to both and sometimes I find it hard to keep my head on straight when I think about it. :)

I do little things online, such as Fusion Cash, Inbox Dollars, Freebie-Trading & MyView to earn the extra cash I need for my business and for Christmas. (I like to save up so we're not short on Christmas money when it comes)

I plan on homeschooling my daughter and any other kids I might end up having ;)

I love meeting new friends. I am home all the time so I don't get to meet people around here. All of my friends live 2 hours away now so Facebook is my social life. I love to do crafts, my favorite is woodburning. I've done some pretty amazing ones too.

That's all I can think of right now, my mind is filling with other facts. lol. Talk to ya soon!

Wow it sounds like you have your head on straight to me!  Your plans sound wonderful.  Who is the cutie with you in the picture?  I wish you luck in your goals and stop by any time for a chat.  Thanks for letting us know where you earn some extra cash.  I had never heard of Freebie Trading but will check it out.

School has started

Well my medical assistant classes started last week and although I have posted daily on the forum in order to earn my $3.oo a month I haven't been posting much else.  I like school and the teachers but am struggling because the books are so heavy.  I have a wheeled tote which opens from the top (this only have trial and error) and makes it easier to get the books in and out of the opening and is easier on the spine of the books.  I think once I get more organized and know what each teacher expects it will get easier.

The weather is still bitter cold here in NW PA but it is supposed to warm to 44 by Wednesday.  I'm so over winter and ready for spring.  It's been a really cold winter here.

More later.  I have to run.

:cat:  I'm impressed with every one of you!  You are all working hard, have a family, or extended family, and/or grandchildren.  It helps me to see that I'm not the only one trying to make it with work the best I can, with my health issues.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!!

Red wigglers being worms?  I've thought about that in the past.  Please tell me more.  Is it expensive to start and is it lucrative?  Where do you keep the brood?  I'm guessing you have to keep them some where warm.  Please provide details if time permits!  I'm always looking for new ways to earn.

 Hello! It sounds like you have a full schedule. But I admire the fact that you find the time to raise red wigglers and an organic garden! Having 5 grand-children and also a job with Fed-Ex, I just don't see how you can find the extra time to squeeze all of that into your schedule. You must be great at organizing your time! Raising a organic garden is very time consuming but it is also a very rewarding hobby. I used to have a farm and raised all of my food and herbs that way. It is something that I miss alot since moving to the big city. I hope you have a BLESSED GROWING SEASON!!!!  ;D

I am 31 and am the mother of 1, a 14 month old girl. I'm a stay at home mom. My boyfriend and I  celebrate our 3 year anniversary July 31st. I too am the mom of a preemie. Even though she Is 14 months, you can still tell. She looks like a 10 month old.

I love to read and play games and watch movies. Just saw Tangled. My boyfriend downloaded It and put It Into a disc for my daughter.
