Julie,

Bob got home last night around 9:30.  My tire is flat as a pancake.  I put air in it yesterday morning on the way to school but by the time I got home that air was gone.  I didn't realize that fact until around 6 though.  I thought about airing it back up but figured it would be flat by morning anyhow.  I decided to cut my first class this morning and after he has had time to sleep he will put my spare on.  He has to drive the truck to Erie today (once I get home from school and take over watching the "little one").  I have to get my third hepatitis shot today after school so I'll be a little later than normal.

Tomorrow I will drive his car to school and he'll take mine to get those tires I bought.  He will have to take them somewhere to get them mounted, have new valves put in them and get them on the Blazer and then aligned.  I sure hate putting him to task as soon as he gets home but I'm hoping I can make him take a couple of days off when this job is done.

Hope your headache is better today.  The pain with my hands comes and goes.  It all seems to depend on how much time I've spent using the mouse, typing or handwriting.  I did do about 4 rows on the afghan last night but I really have to get busy with the holidays coming.

Cya,

Kim

Hey Kim,

I'l be so glad for you when those new tires are finally put on.  That would be great, too, if Bob can take off a couple of days.  He's probably ready for a break after all of the driving he did.

No trick or treaters last night.  All of the kids met on Main Street in our small town, and visited each of the stores for candy.  Then they all went on hayrides.  They have fun but I do miss how it's done down where we moved from.

Headache is still with me.  I've done the nebulizer today, too, since my breathing's not right.  I've been taking Benadryl on the side for the allergy problems.  I go for my shots this Friday.  I hope they will help to calm things down.

Even with my headache, I got quite a bit done around here today - I would just sit down when I needed to for a bit.  I'm going to babysit the little fella next Wed. through Fri.  Our Fair starts here next Tuesday.  Sorry - I feel like I'm rambling.

Hope everything works out tomorrow for you and that you will have a great day!  I'm trying to get that email done - hope you will bear with me!

Talk to you tomorrow,

Julie  :)   :cat:

Julie,

No problem on the email.  Take your time.  I know we started a detailed conversation that runs deep.

Well Bob got my spare on but it was with a lot of effort.  The spare had never been removed from the bottom of the Blazer and it's a 2002 so for 9 years that equipment that held the spare was quietly rusting.  He had to break the mechanism.  The tire looks okay but the wheel is rusty looking.  He will take the Blazer today though and get the tires from that guy.  I don't know if we can get it in anywhere today to get the tires mounted or the alignment.  I'll drive his car to school.

I ended up not getting to school yesterday at all.  I had planned to only miss one class but by the time he got things taken care of I had already missed two classes and I had the little one to watch, an appointment for my last hepatitis shot and he still had to drive to Erie to take the truck back and get his car so I just blew the entire day.  Now I'll be playing catch up with my medical billing class.  That's a little difficult because you can only work on one specific computer and I have to try to find it when nobody has class in that room.  It's doable though and I do have a two hour break between classes this afternoon.

I have an appointment with my counselor tonight at 4:30 so it's going to be a later night.  Thankfully I have leftovers we can use for dinner.

I had to laugh yesterday when I was taking Amya with me to my doctor's appointment.  First we passed a Denny's and she said, "I love Dennys", then we went past Burger King and she informed me that Burger King was "awesome".  She wasn't hungry because we had just eaten but 4 years have to talk about something I guess.  We went shopping and she tried to talk me into some really colorful ice cream but we opted for vanilla and colorful ice cream cones and rainbow colored vanilla wafers since it would be something she could share with Grandpa because he doesn't like the rainbow colored ice cream too well.  It will be an ice cream cone day on Thursday I expect.

Hope today is a better day for you.

Hi Kim,

You had a busy and mixed up day yesterday!  That was kind of unexpected about the equipment rusting and having to break the mechanism.  It's faithfully held the tire for all those years, though!  I bet you were glad to finally get home last night.  Another busy one today, too.  I hope you're sessions with the counselor are helping, still.  Sometimes it seems you are too busy for the classes, lol.  I will be glad, though, when your tires are fixed.

I'm not going to church tonight.  This week is kind of hard, with the depleting energy, excessive congested cough. I've been doing the nebulizer and the cough medicine daily this week since it helps some, but don't like taking that medicine that often.  I can tell my system is ready for my Friday shots.

We have not heard from Randal.  But DIL accidentally goofed up and answered a question on our son's FB wall page.  The guy asked when was he getting off of that thing. She answered that he will be home Saturday.  I guess she thinks I can't see on his wall, even though I'm blocked from him.  It's nice to know he will finally be home - but we can't help but to wonder why he hasn't called yet. You would think he would before Saturday, since he could talk more freely now.  I'm trying not to let it bother me and am praying that he hasn't turned away.  Roddy's a little down because Randal hasn't emailed him from Roddy's last one one to him. I just hope everything will be okay.

The ice cream situation reminds me of Roddy and our grands.  They love the colors, too, but he only likes vanilla or peach.  They are so cute at their little ages!

Hope you catch up quick with the medical billing.  Have a nice night!  "See" you tomorrow!

Julie,

Well the new tires have been purchased and I'll call to get an appointment, hopefully Saturday, to have them mounted and an alignment.

I only have one more butterfuly hand draw and a syringe draw to complete my Clinical assignments.  I'm hoping to finish them up today or tomorrow.  I'm excited about getting back to wearing normal clothes again.  (We had to wear scrubs ever since we started blood draws.)

After this task is completed we start urine and fecal testing.  Yummy!

I think I currently have A's in all classes but I'm going to have to ramp it up in Patho to keep that edge.

We're hoping to go kayaking on Sunday.  It's supposed to be in the high 60's so we thought we could maybe get one more trip in before we store them for the winter.

Have either you or Roddy sent Randall another email to see if he'll answer?  If he is coming home Saturday it will take him a few days to get back into the swing of things and hear her stories before he can start to resolve anything so hang tight sweetie.  I know you are anxious.  Try to stay positive and busy for just a bit longer.  I'm not trying to downplay your emotions...I know you've been on edge about this for a long time.

I think Bob is leaving again next week for Las Vegas.  He will be home in time for Thanksgiving though.  My grand-daughter Kaleigh is coming home from California on the 14th and will be visiting me sometime between then and Thanksgiving.  My other daughter, SIL, and two grands are coming in the weekend of Thanksgiving too and I'm hoping to get to see my son in Erie for a day of shopping.  So, I have some busy time coming up.  School is, of course, ramping up too so I'll be extra busy and don't forget crafting, shopping, baking, etc. for the holidays so I hope I'll do better with this trip than I have with some of the others.

Gotta fly this morning.  Shower, studying, etc.  Take care.

Hi and welcome!  It's always nice to have another blogger join in!  I'm glad you got some ideas, too.  I don't know if you've heard of CafeMom but I'm a member in there.  I'm a part of a group called Coping with Chronic Conditions.  I've made friends with several ladies who suffer from anything to everything (like MS, Asthma, Reflux, Fibro, and more.)  They "talk" daily through posts by supporting and encouraging each other, and talking about experiences they've gone through or are going through.  We even talk about the weather, how it may be affecting someone, and so much more.  They even keep up with ones going to the doctor or the hospital.  It would be great to see you if you decide to check it out!!  Hope to get to know you more in here!  Kim's blog is super!  :)

Hi there Kim!

I'm glad you've got those tires and what a relief it will be for you to finally get them mounted and aligned!!

Bob just got back and has to turn around and leave again - goodness, he's a busy traveler/worker.  Before Roddy retired from the phone company, he went on 2 or 3 trips a year - I may have gone on at least 1 a year, just to do my own thing.  But there were other things either to do or to enjoy while he was gone - I could actually get more work done around the house when he was gone for a few days!  Now that he's retired, he's always around, lol!  Except for the part-time Bus Driver job - he enjoys that.  Speaking of, his bus monitor's sister died this week, and so she won't be there for tomorrow morning's and afternoon's routes.  Since I'm the sub, I need to fill in.  I guess I'm going to leave here at 8:30, right after the morning route, to get my asthma shots (2 hours away) at 10:45, then come right back up to be here by 1:30 to help on his afternoon route. Then I'll be ready to crash tomorrow night.   :P

Yay!  I know you'll be glad to finally finish up those blood draws.  Keep up those A's - that's wonderful! I had wondered if you had to wear scrubs or not - you answered that question before I could remember to ask.  Are you full day tomorrow?  Eewwww... I didn't even think about the urine and fecal tests!   :o

Both Roddy and I had sent another email - since he's not on the ship now - we don't know if he got it or not.  I suppose he could still look on the base's emails but we just don't know.  He's apparently been back at his current base in VA for a couple of days.  Because of knowing how it's usually done, he should be flying out for FL late tomorrow night or early Saturday morning.  We don't expect to hear from him for awhile once he's down there, but he had promised he would contact us before getting down there.  Maybe tonight or tomorrow?  Thanks for the needed encouragement!

Hope your day was productive!  Have a nice evening!  See you tomorrow! :)

Julie  :)

Julie,

Yes all of Bob's travels are during the winter tour.  His normal track isn't really open during the winter for races so all they can do is a little maintanence or selling of some parts for other people that might be on tour or are working on their equipment.  He will go for 2 - 3 weeks each month from now until about April or May.

You are right, I can get more done but it gets terribly lonely.  Especially so since I don't really have anyone here that is family and although I have acquaintances I limit myself to just a few friends.  I'm kind of a loner in that aspect.

I have one girlfriend that I talk to daily by phone, you on here, and of course there is a bit of interacton with people on FB.  I haven't really been on there too often though either.  If I do get on and allow myself to be visible people want to chat and it's not that I'm all that unfriendly but I don't always have time for a long discussion.  Sometimes I just pop in to read and catch up on people but don't spend a long time out there.

Thank God I do have school though or his traveling would really bug me.  For right now it's okay as I can get a lot of my homework done without feeling as though I'm neglecting him and I do let the house relax more since nobody sees the mess but me.

My prayers are that you will at least hear from your son by Thanksgiving and that everything will be ironed out by Christmas so you can see the girls.

Be careful on the bus route today.  I know you are going to be ready to chillax tonight!

I have an appointment to get the tires mounted and aligned on Saturday.  There is also a big craft fair at the local high school and at least one yard sale that I know of so those two items are on my agenda.  We aren't going to get to kayak since he has to work and then he'll leave before mid-week sometime.

Have to study for an English test this afternoon so I'm outta here.  Hope your day isn't too tiring.

Kim,

I guess it would get lonely after a bit when he's gone for 2 to 3 weeks each month.  I am similar to you in that I end up more of a loner myself. I enjoy talking with you and there's another member in here where we email once or twice a week.  There's a couple of others in here, too, but we mainly keep up on FB, but limited talk, too.

I'll be honest, there is one on FB who I've known since junior high school, and I hate to even admit this, but if she comes on, I will usually make myself unavailable for chat.  She's the only reason I do that.  If not, then she always chats at me as soon as I sign in.  I usually hit or miss a couple of my favorite games, respond to posts, share things, send quick notes back and forth with my aunts, cousins, and friends I don't see often, and then I'm done. She's usually on all day and she would keep me on to where I can't get anything done.  She acts like my "mommy hen" and wants to micro-manage my day, lol, and wants to know everything about anything I am doing. A couple of times a week I'll give in and chat, but bless her heart, I don't have time to be on there all day.

I'm glad and relieved you have an appointment for those tires tomorrow.  The craft fair sounds super! We have the annual Pecan Festival here, tomorrow.  I always enjoy going, browsing the craft area, looking at the antique cars, grabbing some popcorn and coke (splurge!!), and checking out what contest and games are going on.  I really want to go - it will determine how I'm doing from my shots.  My daughter volunteered to drive and we could leave as soon as I needed to.  Sounds like a great idea!  The Fair starts Nov. 8, which happens to be my daughter's birthday.  So we're going to go that night since that's what she wants to do. We all like the funnel cake! I like checking out the crafts and gifts, too. She'll be 24 (and she's my youngest - where does time go?)

Thanks for prayers for the situation with Randal. I hope Christmas will work out for seeing him and those girls.

Hope you did well on your English test. Do you have a lot of studying for the weekend?

Yes, I am "chillaxing" (love that!) tonight. The shots have kicked in with the fatigue and puniness. What's new, though, is that I am aching all over and am very stiff. I guess I'll have to go back and see if this is a side effect I may have skimmed over. I still have the ear problem, which has been included now in their statistics. I am not used to aching like this. :(

I hope your Friday evening was relaxing. Have a great Saturday. I'll try to get in here earlier tomorrow.

Julie :)
