So if you smokers want to smoke, that's fine, but at least put it out all the way before throwing it out the window.  I drove by a lit cig on the road this morning - more air pollution - no thanks!

They also shouldn't be throwing them out the window.  Not only in dryer regions is it a major fire hazard, but it's another form of pollution in the form of littering.  Cigarettes with filters can take up to 15 years to degrade.

Here's an interesting factoid. That aspertame in that diet coke you drink causes more harm to your body than that brief whiff of smoke you just had. Same with all of the other processed crap we allow in our food and drink. France doesn't allow for the preservatives or additives or genetic created monsanto food, yet most smoke, yet live longer and have far worse health problems than those in the US.

Air pollution? Doubtfull. Littering? Sure I'll give you that.

Smokers need to learn to use the ash tray.  That's what ash trays are made for.
