Make Newbies Read the rules before they join the forum
« on: November 08, 2010, 07:41:26 am »
I have seen alot of referral links on the forums lately.  Seems like a lot are newbies so I suggest when they attempt to join the forum they be taken to the rules to read them. I guess they might need to acknowledge they read them before joining. What do you think? Please don't ask how this is done...I'm not that technical  ;D

I think what would work is giving them a quiz maybe 5 questions multiple choice and if they pass it then they get $0.50 as part of their sign on bonus?

I have posted on several threads lately advising the "NEWBIES" RE:  POSTING LINKS IS PROHIBITED BY FC ADMINISTRATION  :BangHead: :BangHead:

I like helping or gearing the Newbies in the right direction, but the LINK POSTING IS GETTING WAY OUT OF HAND; IT'S "FLOODING" THE FORUM  :sad1:

Unfortunately, Many NEWBIES Are NOT READING THE RULES OR/AND WATCHING THE TUTORIAL/FORUM VIDEOS  :angry7:

I think this is a great idea, but not sure how they could monitor it, it would be interesting to see them do something to that effect though.

It's pretty easy to solve, 7 day suspension on first offense, 30 days next time and then pull the plug if it happens again.

This is the right and fair way to do it the first time.  Probably more than 5 questions, but no more than 10.  Giving out a bonus is a sure way they pass the quizz and really get interested in Fusion Cash.

I think this would eliminate the problem.  If not, 5 day suspension for first rule broken.  20 days for second infraction and 60 days for the third.  We still want them here, so I don't want to totally take away their ability to be good customers.

I think that is a great idea!! I think that the 7 day suspension for the first offense would probably solve it because they probably wouldn't want to take a chance again on getting banned from the forum. I mentioned to a newbie recently that they needed to take their links off, but I don't know if they did so. I also recommended that they go read the rules.

If you see someone doing something they shouldn't then send me a support ticket with a link. The suspensions usually are 15-30 days for first offense and then after that they are permanent.

New people should be required to read the rules when they join the forum.  If they break a rule, I think a temporary suspension is a fair consequence for breaking the rules.

That is what I am seeing too. I also have warned a few newbies about posting their links.
