Pet Peeves

What is your pet peeve(s).  Here's mine:

1.  Someone pulls right out in front of you, and makes you slam on the brakes, then turns at the next block. Oh, did I mention that there was nobody behind you, and they could have had a clear path if they had waited until you passed?

2.  Most packaging with "Easy Open Instructions".....yeah right!  Or, the little plastic "T" things that hold on the tag(s) or "bundle" merchandise together.  After you think you've removed them all, that missing one decides to stick you as your wearing the garment.

3.  Your wearing a white blouse/skirt/dress to an important function, and before you get up to speak, you've spilled something on it during the dinner.  Usually something with a scarlet hue to it.

4.  Lost luggage.  This has happened to me numerous times.

  I totally agree with you on the car thing. They wait until they can see the whites of your eyes before pulling out. Then they drive 2 mph before turning at the next block. I also have another one. I can't stand for someone to replace toilet paper and not make it roll over instead they put it on where it will roll down against the wall. If you happen to be in a public place (well thats just nasty).

Anyone who feels that they are so important that they need to be on a cell phone all the time constantly and loudly yaking away.  I really miss phone booths.

I agree with you, I can't stand inconsiderate drivers either!

People smacking and slurping away while eating. I'm sorry, but it bugs me to no end.

People who don't cover their mouth while sneezing or coughing.

The "one-upper", they always have something better to say, or did something better than you and its always some wild and crazy story that no one in their right mind would believe. I dont know how they think that people actually listen to them or believe them. So annoying.

2-faced backstabbers.

When someone tosses something toward a garbage can, like they think they're a basketball star, and then leave it on the ground after they miss!

Someone standing over my shoulder reading the computer screen. *ahem*

Jerks who take up 2 parking spaces.

You know when you ask someone a simple, straightforward question and they spend ten solid minutes rambling on about everything in the world EXCEPT the answer to your simple, straightforward question? Yeah, I hate that.

People who don't vote and then complain about the results.

People who don't hold the elevator for you.

People who take their kids to a restaurant and let them scream and run around like wild animals. People who sit in front of you or right behind you in a movie theater and make loud comments about the movie the whole time. Just all around inconsiderate people.

A huge pet peeve of mine is when when i have guest over at my house and they text other people excessivly and not pay attention to the person that had them over. I know someone who always text for like 45 minutes straight when they are at my house and it really gets under my skin. Im sure some of you have very similar types of things. Great topic actually if i do say so myself.

1.  I agree with you, Annella, about the car episode. That is really irksome.
2.  I agree with you, sflynt, about the smacking lips and slurping - ughhh..
3.  People putting paper or napkins in their mouth and chewing - it's the same thing as someone scratching on the chalkboard, or the chalk squeaking on the chalkboard.  Both of those make my teeth grit and hurt.
4.  Men leaving the toilet seat up.
5.  Not rinsing the used dishes before leaving them in the sink.

Here are my two:

1.  When I am conducting a meeting and one of my folks mobile phone goes off.  I fixed that though.  They now leave their phones outside the meeting room.

2.  People who constantly lick their fingers while eating.  All they need to do is to use the napkin provided to them for eating.  That is why it is there.

1.  When you see someone with sweatpants and dress shoes on.  I haven't seen this lately, but I've seen people wear this kind of stuff.
2.  Missing toothpaste top.  If you take it off, screw the darn thing back on!
3.  Bad breath, and they keep on talkin and talking while you're breathing out your mouth.

Oh, this is so annoying.
I hate it when people cross right in front of you, damn near stepping on your foot when you're standing in a line and don't say excuse me. 

I really hate it when someone leaves the cereal box  of potato chip bag open and lets it get stale.

I hate when people walk their dogs and let them poop right on the side walk.

I hate when I get food at the drive thru, get home and get comfortable in front of the t.v., then realize that my order is wrong.

My pet peeve is when I am on the interstate and the people in the left lane are going slower than the ones in the right lane.
