I finished my Christmas shopping in September.  Only purchased a couple of gifts.  Christmas is just not the same anymore.

I already know what I'm getting everyone. I actually knew that a while ago, I like to plan. But I haven't bought anything yet.

I'm handmaking 95% of my gifts this year...not just because of the financial issues, but because it gives me something constructive to do while knowing that I'm giving something unique

I start really early and hit the clearance before October. Some of the clearance toys are really great I got a walk in kitchen for my twins for $200 and it was $500 originally.  I opened it to make sure everything was inside and it's perfect :). I can't wait to build it and put a bow on it :D

I don't even think I can afford much this year because bills are so tight.  I'll probably just get a couple of things for my son and a white elephant gift so I can participate in white elephant.  But I love Christmas shopping, and giving.  Maybe next year I can save up more cash.

i never stopped christmas shopping! haha.

i start right after christmas is over every year.
if i find a sale on something i know you'll like,
i'm grabbing it up and storing it for you!

we only exchange gifts with a handful of people,
so its not terribly heartbreaking for my wallet.

handmade candy/goodies goes to our other friends/family
who we're not super close with!
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I do exactly the same thing...My really own main people I gift to are my kids. I have to makeup for Santa and myself.

lol I even do the cookies and candy thing with people we are not close to.  ^_^
