Breakfast
« on: October 31, 2010, 07:28:16 am »
I made stuffed french toast for breakfast... and it was so good that now I have a tummy ache!  How is that for too much of a good thing?

Take two slices of bread and put strawberry jelly on one slice and cream cheese on the other.  Dip the bare side of the slice in a mixture of egg, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla extract and place in a hot buttered pan.  Layer the slices together, where the cheese and jelly are inside, and cook until golden.  Sprinkle confectioner's sugar and slice diagonally so you have two triangles.  Voila!  Sweet goodness.

mmm, that sounds delish! i would make that
even if it wasn't for breakfast  ;D

i bet you could easily make a cream-cheesy
filling for your french toast and mimic bob evan's
stuffed french toast! now THAT will give you a
tummy ache, but the best kind... haha.

i rarely eat breakfast (i know its bad for you, but)
sometimes i grab a banana or some crackers just
to have something in my stomach at work...
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Sounds horrible to me. cinnamon does not go with strawberry on my taste buds...

3 strips crisp bacon, 2 fried eggs over medium, 1/2 cup grits, 2 pieces toast with orange marmelade and 2 cups fresh brewed coffee with whole milk.

That sounds good!!!!  I love french toast better than pancakes!  I like mine with cheese eggs and bacon or sausage.  (TOO MUCH FAT!!! LOL)
