My 2 year old calls me by my first name!

It is just something he is going thru. My dad had both of my kids doing that same thing to me when they were learning to talk. Believe me it won't last.

Yeap that happens. For a 2yr old the are just exploring. Learning to understand things and put words together. My daughter who is now 4yrs old. Sometimes calls me Tina. I just tell her that if someone ask her what is your mommy name to say Tina but literally my baby thinks that i have 2 names. How funny is that. Kids are a trippppp!

IN MY HOUSEHOLD THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. MY SON IS 19 AND I WOULD NEVER TOLERATE HIM CALLING ME BY MY FIRST NAME. OUR CHILDREN HAVE NOT EARN THE RIGHT TO CALL US BY OUR FIRST NAMES AND WE NEED TO INSTILL IN THEM THAT THEY MUST HAVE RESPECT! That's because he does know it bothers you!!! My 2yr old little sprite got her fill in for about a week or so,  then she began to call me mommy, and then mom....and then momma, and finally~mommymee!

the more attention you pay to it, the longer it will continue.  correct it the first few times, then ignore.  trust me, it will stop.

I have a 3 and a 4 year old and they both called my wife and I by our first names, it's just that they hear everyone around you calling you by your name so they do the same, I don't think it's disrespectful, its just that they are babies and still learning there way. and it will pass it did for me
