Ughh......I ate my dinner way to fast :(

Hey Marie, you got a red dot in Europe.  I thought FC was just for the US?  Also, is that dot at the end of Florida on Florida or Cuba?  I find this very interesting.

:cat:  Annella, you write well, also.  You go a tad deeper in the subject, which is expected, since that is what you do in your line of work and sharing.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with that - it needs to be heard!

Whoever clicks on the page where this map is at, then it will register on the map. So any visitors will register. The one on the end I think is in Cuba or maybe jamaica it looks like.

Looks like you got one in Hawaii also...cool  How could someone in Europe have access to FC?

okay, i will believe in miacles if you can present one piece of evidence - a recorded case of healed paralysis (non-temporary paralysis) or amputee. that will convince me of mracles.
So your seeking a sign from God?
Yes, but i has to be undeniable. like an amputee growing a limb back. the rest an be classified as coincidence,

You know...I was getting ready to write something rude here, and thought better of it.  I just have one thing to say.  Seeing is not believing; believing is seeing.  Nothing will provide any proof for you, because if anything can be classified as coincidence, then anything can be rationalized, and Science can explain so much these days that it seems quite reasonable to not believe in g-d.  G-d does not owe anyone anything, though, least of all proof.  You either believe, or you don't.  It isn't impossible to believe and be rational...I see people do this quite often on FC.

Eh, I'm in and out.  Currently fighting with a two year old that does not want to wear a shirt with her shorts to bed and refuses to go to sleep because she is afraid she'll miss something on the 403rd viewing of Pinocchio.  I hate bedtime...its even worse when its hours past.   :BangHead:

LOL

Ahhh, I remember it well!  My son could find more excuses to get out of bed than anyone I know.  He needed a drink, bathroom, kleenex, too hot, too cold, needs cold washcloth for his head, heard a noise outside, is someone ringing the doorbell? Dark shadows moving across his window, his "Light Saber" needs new batteries, and he had to tell me to add it to the shopping list, the dog was keeping him awake, people still up was keeping him awake by talking.  On and on!

The excuses why he shouldn't attend school sometimes were actually very creative, and I could have sold the ideas to Hollywood for future movies.

It's way past my bedtime.....nite.  Travel home tomorrow.

Those are too personal to be put on this forum, especially with people that deny God, and put down my beliefs.  I don't care to be mocked.  But there were family members who were there and know themselves about the miracles and happenings that come from God. Even an unbeliever who afterwards accepted Christ when one event happened.

Why is it when I ask believers for examples of how god works in their lives, so many of them refuse and say, "It's too personal" ?!  So you're saying you cannot give ANY good examples of your "personal relationship" with Jesus?  I thought you were on a first-name basis with him EVERY day?  Shouldn't he be doing awesome stuff for you fairly regularly?  And you wonder why atheists say there is no proof for your god.  When we point out all of the logical flaws of your religion, you always come back with, "That's all fine and well, but god has DONE STUFF in my life, so I believe!"  Okay...where are these accounts???  You can't name 5 examples of where god was in action this week, this month, this year?

And what you label as "mocking" would be my showing you in whatever example you presented how it could have happened in the natural world without god.

So then quit talking about it and do something! Quit waiting for God to get involved and change things and get off your butt and do something if it bothers you so much.
That about sums it up pretty well!  Maybe you could be the one to change things over there (502).

Why are you making it 502's responsibility?  Why not donate that 10% of your income you give to your pastor's lifestyle and do something actually useful with it?  I'm always amazed when I hear on the radio: "Folks, if you send us $100, we can send 25 Bibles to this disaster-stricken country.  Open up those purse strings now, and do god's work!"  Um, they don't need your book, sorry.  They need food, clothing, shelter, medicine, and water!!!

I think we are also incest if we go by evolution as well.

*sigh*  No, marie, and I'm pretty sure I've already told you this: incest didn't exist when we started out as basic organisms.  Read a biology book!

But there are many Muslims who have accepted Christ, so you cannot close that door on me.

And there are former Muslims that are now atheists.  What's your point?  Got to be careful with those weak arguments you make there.

Also, I may have been born here, but I was born into a family where my dad forbid me to go to church.

Well I'm sorry to hear the horrible way your dad treated you, and thank you for sharing.  However, belief in god is something we're TAUGHT, not born with.  So you must have been encouraged into the Christian lifestyle by someone else in your family.  When someone prevents you from doing something (going to church), it can make it all the more tempting/repressive in a lot of cases.

qon, nobody is pushing any religion on you or anyone else on here.

That's not the point.  Mere laypeople atheists have to start somewhere in encouraging our fellow man to get out of Bronze Age thinking.  It's quite sad how many MILLIONS of people's potentials are wasted on religion.  You want to live forever?  Well gee, maybe we could if we didn't have so many people wasting their only life WISHING for it instead of developing the technology to make it possible!

There were 4 couples.  Noah and his wife, their 3 sons and their wives.

And they all came from 2 people!  Nonetheless, if we ignore that glaring detail like you just did, that is not enough genetic diversity by a long shot to repopulate the earth to the BILLIONS.

Go and spread your discontent to someone who actually wants to hear it.

Stop responding to my posts if you don't want to hear it.  It's that simple.

Quote
If you were a Christian before, and then denounced it, I have no desire to hear anything you have to say.

Wow, "no desire to hear anything you have to say" -- is that what Jesus would do?  Better repent for saying that, or you'll burn.  Just goes to show that so many Christians don't actually care about people.

Quote
We won't denounce our God as you did, so give it up.

Oh, you would love that, wouldn't you?  Sorry sweetie; it may be a long and frustrating process, but the fight to chip away at people's unfounded delusions is far from over.  P.S.  I know you're a lost cause.  Thankfully, you only had one offspring you inflicted your beliefs onto.

***First off, qon, when you quote someone on here, please quote the correct person with the correct quote. I have straightened out above where you combined Marie's post with mine.

***Second, I'm not making it 502's responsibility.  He was pushing things to the point that Marie responded like she did and I responded to that.

***Third, It is NONE of your business what I do with my 10% (more or less) in my church. That's strictly between me and God.

***Fourth, It's NONE of your business what I do with my "open purse strings" and who I support and not support financially.  This is a forum full of people I don't know and I don't have to divulge to you anything.
