going green isn't expensive....yes, sometimes, it might be initially, but overtime, it will be worth it...plus,
part of the part about going green that is supposed to be green but is often overlooked is consuming less....
which, if you do, means you will have more green

the way to beat the expense?? D.I.Y.
been doing it for years now.
google DIY anything you want to turn "green" or "natural" etc.
white vinegar is still incredibly cheap and is a GREAT alternative for cleaning.  it can be mixed with things like lemon juice to help your laundry (and yes, I use it, and no one ever says anything to me about smelling like vinegar....because it washes out), or mix it with baking soda (look up the amount ratio) to clean out your drains.
obviously there may be some things one still needs to put initial outlay into...like the solar panels.
I will indeed do that when/if I ever own property.
just sayin...there's always a solution, fairly cheap...with research and experimentation.  hope some of you can use the information.

You can use baking soda and apple cider vinegar to wash your hair too. There are a lot of sites that give you tips on being green without spending a lot of money.

B/c its just another way to get in our pocket books.  I don't buy half of what they claim is saving people money b/c it just takes more  and more all the time.  Its bunk if you ask me.  I saw a man on u-tube from Japan I think he is from that created a machine that takes plastic of all sorts doesn't' matter what kind or shape or form if its made of plastic it will take it.  It takes it and breaks it down and its made into usuable oil.  Can make it into oil for lanterns, fuel, etc.  He demonstrated it and showed how it really worked to burn or for gasoline etc. Really cool!

I love green, but it doesn't mean it costs so much
