I don't see why it would be against the rules.

Because what if MY computer crashes?

What if I buy a MacBook Pro and decide to take it to town with me in an internet cafe?  What if I want the same to be hooked up to satellite here?

I have an additional laptop, in case my desktop here decides to croak and hurl itself.

Cause this ole PC isn't going to last forever.

They should allow for cases like that.  Peoples' PCs and Macs do sometimes die.

I can also get online via my iPod Touch, and some others who have iPhones can do the same.

So many variables and things could go wrong with equipment.

Nothing is forever, you know.
But if your PC dies and you replace it that would still be your own PC if you bought a new one.. I believe its more that its your own internet connection that you pay for and that no one else uses fusion cash from that IP.  I would imagine that is to prevent people from making multiple accounts to cheat the system and earn twice as much as well as the referral bonuses.  If you change your internet service that's still your IP that you pay for.  I just recently changed providers which in turn changed my IP and ran into no problems but I have never logged in from another house or someone else's IP.  The rules clearly state you cannot log in on a shared internet connection such as the library or schools.  I have used two different computers that belong to me in my home on the same IP and never ran into any trouble.
The IP is the address on the computer itself.  If this one crashes and I use the laptop, then the IP address would be different.  IP addresses are unique to each computer.

The ISP is the internet service provider, which most of the time, I use the satellite service of WildBlue.  But there are times when the satellite goes down, and I have to switch to dialup, because I also have the AOL as backup, thereby changing the information of the ISP (internet service provider).

So IP and ISP are two different things.

We only have ONE FC account.

Like I said, so many variables, and if I use my laptop, I might want to go downtown and use an internet WiFi from an internet cafe.   That doesn't mean I would be cheating or defrauding.

M Mews I have a question cause I'm not real up on this stuff.  If you took your computer to an internet cafe with wifi and someone else had done the same thing wouldn't that cause a problem?  What would be the difference between that and doing it at work or school.  I'm really UNtechnical.  Oldbuddy mentioned something called Team Viewer yesterday that sounds like it might be worth looking in to. :dontknow: :dontknow:

Login from your home PC and an internet connection. If you go to someone's else and login and complete offers and then they decide to sign up and complete offers you will most likely lose your and your friends account. Completing offers on a public IP such as a WIFI hotspot is also prohibited for the same reason.

If you get a new PC or a new Internet Provider then you will be fine as long as you are the only one who signs up with FusionCash.

To be short: Be the only one using FusionCash on the internet connection that you are on. This means no two accounts per PC or internet connection, including public hotspots.

Thanks Kohler!  Don't worry.  No one else in my household has Fusion Cash, of course.  My spouse may sometimes have to use my computer, but certainly not for FC, because of there being ONLY ONE account in this household.  But we have separate computers anyway, and my spouse already knows the FC rules about one account per household, because I had already made that point apparent.

What I was saying is that this computer may die at any point.  And if I break out my laptop, I can hook to satellite connection (internet service provider), but in the wintertime, that sometimes craps out, so I have to install AOL software to get online via dialup, which is a different ISP (internet service provider).  The IP address would be same regardless of ISP, I think.  But if we get another office in town, it's possible that there might be a different ISP (WiFi, Broadband, etc...)  We would still have separate computers regardless, but would share the same ISP via a router.  We had to do this before (share router, not computers).

Friends are NOT allowed to use my computer, because I get really territorial about my computers, iPods, equipment, etc...

Don't worry no one here is breaking any rules, and there is ONLY ONE ACCOUNT, so take a deep breath and say PHEW!   ;D

But if my computer dies, or we have to move or change ISP's, then I will let you know first and beforehand.

Actually The IP address is unique to the phone/cable/network line that connects to the internet. If you were to unhook your computer and take it to another household and hook it up on their internet connection it would not have the same IP as it did on your connection at home.  It would also change if you were on the same computer and just changed ISP's each ISP issues you a unique IP either static or dynamic which is another variable.  A static IP will stay the same always but a dynamic IP can change as much as every time you log on to the internet which is common with dial up connections.  It really depends on the ISP which type of IP they assign to an account.  As for using two different computers in your home on the same internet connection your router will show them having different IP's  but the rest of the internet world will recognize the IP of the router connecting the two as one IP.
