Does the type of music that you like (hiphop, rock) could determine personality?

If I like rock, could that mean I'm an aggressive person? Or if I like love songs could that somehow tell that I have a weak personality?

Well I think the people will choose songs that resonate with them to a certain extent. It does give some insight into the personality of the person, but definitely isn't the deciding factor in to who  they are.  If someone likes love songs I wouldn't take them as weak, I'd take them as someone who is somewhat sensitive and someone that craves love, but even the toughest or aggressive people can like a love song or two.

I've had this question too, I used to think that our artistic tendencies were pretty heavy in defining who we are. But it turns out not so much. But because I still kind of believe so, I get surprisingly frustrated when someone says "I listen to everything." Idk, if I was a recording artist, I would rather have a fan who was heavily invested in the genre and because of that knowledge, deduced that I was the best thing to listen to... as opposed to...Oh I just pick up and listen to anything with a catchy beat. But hey, to each his own.

i like some hiphop, country, soft & hard rock sometimes, gospel,christian, contemporary jazz, alternative, rnb & some reggae!
my personality is easy going & adaptable.  i like versatility in several things...including music listening. a lot depends on the mood i'm in.

I like the one that's the least corrupted instrumental, no words equals no corruption!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides I play videogames most of the time so this is the music I listen to the most anyway
