What are everyones views on ghosts? do you think they even exist or is everyone who has seen/had an experience with one crazy? I'm using the term ghost as a default word for the "unseen forces" you hear about

I personally believe that there is no such thing as ghosts, in the sense that a person's spirit is left here. I believe that people have real encounters with spiritual beings that pretend to be people who are no longer alive.

The bible tells us we entertain angels:
Hebrews 13:2
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

But I don't think angels appear as ghosts. I think they appear as people who are alive.

I think really only demons parade around as ghosts, to mess with people.

I'm not going to debate that I'm right about that. I haven't done enough to study to assert my idea as ultimately true but that's my thinking on the subject.

i think there are ghosts but they're just spiritual beings picking on us. i  believe there are other dimensions. and if they can come here, we can go there

I am kind on the fence about whether they exist or not.  I used to work for a shelter for battered women which was located in an very old house here in Ohio.  I started out as a client in this shelter due to some emotional abuse on the part of my grandparents after my mother had died.  Anyways long story short, I stayed in this tiny room at the top of the stairs in this house and every night I saw this image of a mans face in the wall it had very distinct markings where it appeared he had been beaten in the head.  I brushed it off as I was already emotionaly upset over the whole ordeal going on in my life at the time and it was just nothing.  A year later I went back to college and started working for the same shelter on midnight shift.  I had countless women all that stayed in the same room come down in the middle of the night and tell me about seeing this same face exactly where I saw it describing it in detail.  I had never told anyone about what I saw because I thought it made me sound crazy lol.  A couple years later we began remodeling the upstairs painting and just doing some upgrading to its appearance.  And then strange noises started happening at night footsteps down the hallways upstairs when we had no clients staying upstairs...the gate at the top of the stairs to keep kids from falling would rattle.  All the staff joked about it and called him Fred.  I would just yell up the stairs knock it off fred and it would stop... crazy maybe lol but I know what I heard and saw.  It was kinda spooky that others heard it and saw things too, but it never did anything to harm anyone.  A few years later my employers (from a different job) husband told me some stories about that house when he was a kid.  Apparently it was built over and underground railroad that slaves used.  And the man that lived there when he was a child was found hanging in the basement.  He said all the kids wouldn't walk on that side of the street when he was younger. I don't know how real ghosts or spirits really are.. or if its just something we believe in our minds to try to make sense of the unknown.  It sure seemed real to me at the time though lol.  I don't think seeing or hearing things that are unknown makes you crazy it just means your open to explore the unknown.

i've had a few wierd experiences. Once when i was between 7-10, i saw glowing green skulls with eyeballs in my closet. when i was 14 i saw Three 6 Mafia wearing shirts with the EXACT same skulls featured on them. wierd. but i've seen glances of "white figures" as i call them, walking through my house. I've never had a REAL experience with unseen beings

Growing up in church, I never really believed in ghosts. Just spirits that impersonate actual people. But things have happened to convince me of the spiritual world.

I was in jr high and for about 2 weeks I kept seeing a man in blue shirt everywhere I went. I started to get paranoid. I don't remember why I didn't tell anyone about it. One day, my mom and I were sitting in the living room and the dog started barking like crazy, my mom looked up and muttered. There he is again. I looked up and I didn't see anyone. I asked her who she was talking about and she said, there was a spirit that had been coming around the house for a couple of weeks.

My skin got prickly and I asked her what it looked like....she said it was a man in a blue shirt. So, I told her it had been following me. She had us pray together then and he never came back. I'm not sure what that was all about but I know it wasn't a real person because he would vanish from my sight as soon as I looked at him. And then my mom and I were the only ones to ever see him. It wasn't a good spirit, whatever it's purpose was.

That's just one of many things where a spirit manifested itself into a ghost like being.

My mother in law who also worked in the shelter with me and stayed there on midnights before I did saw the same things as well.  But more recently she said she was seeing shadows in her upstairs room and shortly after she would smell strong perfume.  About two days after she told us this I started hearing noises in our own bedroom all the way across town only at night when my hubby was working.  I thought oh plz your just freaking yourself out cause of what she told us.  Then I woke up the next morning with a very deep scratch on my arm with no explanation as to how it could have got there.  I have no nails to speak of as I have always bit them ( i know its a bad habit ) so I can't explain where it came from.  But shortly after that when I would go to bed I would see shadows move across the ceiling then just have this strange feeling someone was standing over me when my eyes were closed.  I swear I thought i was seeing things.  Then one night really late it was about time to go pick up my hubby from work around 4am I was sitting here on the computer my daughter sitting next to me on the floor playing.  And I heard this crash I looked into the kitchen and there were two metal cookie sheets that had been in the sink.  Thrown out of the sink and across the room... I grabbed the kid and went out the door 20 min early cause there was noway I was staying here by myself LOL.  I left them just as they were when I went out to see what it was, when my hubby came home he say's they probably just fell out... Yeah and all the way across the room sure....The next night after he went to work I stood in the middle of the house and said "This is my house and I am not afraid of you and I'm not going to run from you anymore, go back where you came from and leave us alone..."  Haven't seen or heard a thing since that night.  Again perhaps I was scaring myself into believing in the unknown, who really knows...
