I hate to say it, but I kissed my wife before we even had a date. We met at a dance and I kissed her goodnight when we left, now 6 kids and 39 years later we are still doing it.

That is sweet oldbuddy...but I have to say my goofy side laughed a little when I read "we are still doing it" lol

I usually do, but then again usually I've been friends with the girls I date for a while before we actually start dating, so I know before hand that we both like each other. By that point, as friends we'd be giving goodbye hugs, so by the time we're dating we've graduated to kissing. I also tend to react to her intentions instead of acting myself. And I'd never pressure her into kissing if she didn't feel ready for it.

Ummm i guess it depends on the connection right there on the spot. If he or she is really in to you yeah then maybe a soft kiss would be okay.

I would. That is the best way to really know somebody right away, instead of wasting your time playing the little game, when you both know the only way to really see if there is any potential of anything between you two is with a real wet one.  Plus you'll know right away if they are a good kisser because if they aren't, you don't want to waste your time and money.

Why not, if I liked the person.  Wait 3-4 months for what?  If it was a good date and we liked each other of course a kiss on the first date is fine.

If I like the person enough I'd kiss them. But I have to know them more too. Like with my current bf. I kissed him on the first date because I liked him so much before that.

If you get "the feelings" on that first date, I say go for it! My bf and I have been together over two years and have a daughter together and I still think about the first date....it was a pretty sorry date- I had to move out of my apt and he offered to help- that was our first date. We were so shy of each other that when we were taking breaks we'd just lay on the floor (no furniture lol) and talk and give each other meaningful looks but neither of us wanted to make the first move. Finally, after taking out the last load to the car I stopped and asked "Isn't this better than some lame dinner date?" And we laughed and I just kissed him. I just knew. Sometimes you just do!
