Neighbors

So I invited my next door neighbor out for drinks at a place in town (a week in advance) her job is east of where we live, she is house sitting her parents place west of where we live and she tells me well I don't have any clothes or make up I have to go to my parents... My though um you're my next door neighbor, you don't have clothes there?  People kill me sometimes.

now THAT is ludicrous.  I would have volunteered to go next door and get what she needed.  wonder what she could have said then!

I really wanted to say something but the hubby said to bite my tongue. Her initial excuse was she leaves the dogs outside and it's been so hot etc etc so she'll see, then it ended up being cooler that day so that was her cover up excuse.  It is amazing what people come up with.

People will lie to you if they do not want to be bothered by you.  Too bad her excuse wasn't a bit more thought out plus you caught her off guard when you made the invitation and that was the first thing that occurred to her.
