Being sick guy vs. gal
« on: September 02, 2010, 02:35:15 pm »
Ok my man has the flu right now and we are having a debate as to who is worse when sick the guy or the gal. I say guy just cause they can be big babies and get pampered. He says the women says I turn into Lusiezilla when I am not feeling good but as I pointed out that is only once a month for a couple of days lol. What are your takes on it?

When my husband is sick, I'm surrounded by so much whine I should be drunk.  But in all fairness, I can be a big baby, too.  Plus, I put him through hell when I was pregnant.

Lol!! My man is the biggest baby when he is sick! When I'm sick, I dont complain about every 5 seconds, like he does! lol  :P  I'm more of the suffer in silence types, for real  :-X

lol I usually suffer thru it myself or try to when he finds out I am sick he does try to pamper me so really can not complain.

Plus, I put him through hell when I was pregnant.

See that is allowed though cause you are going thru hell also and the babe is yalls  :binkybaby:

I really do not know. I have heard that the guys complain the most. My adopted father always worked and NEVER complained. He never got sick untill years later. I had no brothers. My ex husband was never sick just drunk. I had 4 daughters and no boys. SOOOOOOOO I have no sick men to compare to sick women.

Some men complain, and some don't. Some women complain, and some don't. There are women who complain more than some men, and vise-versa.

If you want to know which gender is worse when sick, you can't make excuses.

I don't think being pregnant constitutes as an illness  :)

Really though, I agree that it just depends on the person, not the gender.  Some of my sisters are freakin babies when they are sick.  They can't do anything for themselves during that time, but my mom just grins and bears it.  My dad just keeps to himself when he is sick.  I've had girlfriends who went both ways as well.

Yeah, I can't see much of a pattern.

Thats a tough one , because yeah a guy can break his whole body down when he gets sick , but very few women get reallly sick , idk great question though id say guys overall though

for the most part I would agree ... men whine when they have a little cold and go on and on and on about it.... but as I have gotten older I am turning into a wimp myself and enjoy being taken care of when I feel bad.  Yesterday I felt terrible ... my husband had the same virus and I took care of him while he was sick but he just slept most of the time... so not much complaining.  If he felt half as bad as I did yesterday I am PROUD of him for not whining !!!!

 From my experience males are a "bigger baby" when hey are ill than what females are, they can't do a darned thing when they are ill yet females still have to get up, take care of the children etc... when she is il; there is nobody around to pamper the female when she is ill like there are males!  ::)
