What would you tell a child who was a product of rape?

I've heard of situations like this and I'm curious as to what you think about it. Hypothetically speaking if any woman on here were found in a situation where their child was a product of rape what would you tell him/her when they grow up? You know some kids start asking about who their father is when they notice they don't have one coming around for them.

Well I would not have that child in the first place because 1) I'm on birth control (even if you're not in a relationship, it's good to be prepared, ladies!) and 2) I would abort it if for some fluke reason I DID get pregnant.  There's no way in hell I'd have that SOB's kid.  And I'm sure my husband wouldn't appreciate it, either.

As for the women who WOULD go ahead and have the kid, my advice is just to simply say that dad's not around and he's not a good guy (I grew up without a dad - not because my mom got raped - and this explanation mostly worked for me).  When they get to be a teenager, you can explain that you got raped.

I would tell them that they are LOVED and that it is not their fault-two common worries that victims of rape have.
