Absolutely!  We are forever flawed, each of us.  We will always be human and flawed while we are on this earth.

My Grandma use to say:  "we're just glorfied dirt".  Unfortunately we are expected to be perfect to those who want to scrutinize.

This is off subject, but did everyone get their sports bonus?  I made $2.25....woo hoo!!

I agree.  God gives us strength to overcome sin, but we will not be perfect in this life.  That is what is so amazing about God's love!  He loves us when we don't deserve it.

I emailed you back Annella.

There isn't a single person living and breathing on this planet that God doesn't love deeply and passionately. Every single one was created in His image, every single one has a story, and every single one is precious to Him. None of has a right to think we are better than somebody else. We have one life to make difference, Love God, Love Others, Love Serving.

Remember the shepherd who left the whole flock to go after the one lost? Jesus came for the sinner not the saints!  :peace:

Sorry,  Just got back on....what a day....BUSY!   More tonight!

I Don't think any Christian on this forum said they were better, smarter, anything better than anyone else Sherna.  I haven't seen any thread in that context.  We've been accused of it, but no one has by any means, said anything like that.

Yes, I know the story of the 99 and the 1 who went astray.  Jesus came for everyone....no separation.  We call ourselves Christians, but we are only saved by grace ourselves.  We certainly haven't obtained our goal yet.

No body here that I know of has shoved Christianity down anybody's throat.  The material is presented, and is either accepted or rejected.

Yes, God loves everyone more than we can ever imagine.  So much, he provided a way to be reconciled with Him.  I for one am deeply grateful for the all transforming power of that love.  Without it, I would be dead right now...I'm sure of it.

No they haven't. But it never hurts to be reminded and especially with such a beautiful song!  :)

Sheryl, it is completely devastating to me the kind of judgmental attitudes in some churches. I am so blessed to have found the church I am currently in. A couple of years ago an atheist group came in, wearing black t-shirts with some kind of anti-God slogan on it. They apparently had a "mission" to go to churches and secretly film the disdain and rejection they would receive from church goers. My church family is so amazing. They hug everyone that walks through that door. They hugged the atheists. They didn't treat them any differently. The pastor goes around during song service and introduces himself to visitors. He did the same with them, told them it was nice having them in service today...gave them hugs.

One of the atheists came back the next Sunday and said he had never seen people like this. He wanted to meet the pastor for lunch after service and my pastor agreed. I don't know what happened after that, but LOVE is what makes an impact on people. Sincere affection, not lip service and empty words.

I was going to say you're so lucky to have a church like that but really...they all should be like that.

I have been to more churches than I can count and I have never been to one like this. I am blessed to have found it. You're right, ALL of them should be like that!

Yes, that is part of God's great commandment - "Love one another."

I know its terrible to poke fun and is totally sacrilegious to say so....but I cant resist.

The only thing that went through my mind when I read this:
There isn't a single person living and breathing on this planet that God doesn't love deeply and passionately.

was....

BOW CHICKA WAH WAHHH!!!

:) But in all honesty I do agree with the statement.
