I like food prepared both wayd electric and charcoal. I would suggest a combination grill and that way you will be able to taste the best of both!!  Just my opinion.

I have had all three, electric, Gas, and charcoal. The best flavor came from the charcoal smoker. I am not the best at keeping temps regulated, and I don't feel like building a fire to use charcoal. gas is very hard to get a good flame at a low enough temp. Electric makes since for me, however i am on my third electric smoker, they break and are extremly expensive to get fixed.

I would say thumbs down on all three, but then I have a hardwood pellet barbecue and smoker from Traeger. Nothing beats real wood smoke.

I would say opt for the charcoal smoker ... Might not be the healthiest option but BY FAR the tastiest! :)

Hey Ol' Buddy. Funny that you mention Treager. I just bought some hickory flavored pellets myself. I heard they are awesome. So I wanted to give them a try. What flavor do you use on your fish?
