:)  Yup.  I'm one.  In addition to me, I probably know more than 10,000.  The large number is due to the fact that I spent almost 29 years in the Army.   :star:

I know this seems kind of lame, but please DO tell the vets you know "thank you". When my husband came home from Afghanistan, I had a message put up for him. It was on the side of this HUGE cow billboard outside our favorite steakhouse. (See the picture below!) It meant the world to my husband when we were eating there on our wedding night and all the diners and servers came up and told him "thanks" for serving. I still get teary eyed thinking about it! Anyhow, THANKS to all who have served or are currently serving!

I'm sorry to hear that. My grandpa is a WWII vet also. He's 94 years old and going strong! (But I know people don't last on the planet forever.)  :'(

I wish my hubby could meet someone like your grandpa. He never really comes into contact with older Marine vets. I know being a vet is being a vet, but the Marines do things a little differently than the other branches. It'd be cool to find out what rules have changed since he was in!
