I work for the Veterans Administration and love hearing the stories about their lives.

My across the street neighbor is a Vietnam veteran, real nice guy to talk to, met him when he moved in a while back and had the privilege of helping him with stuff around his yard, painting mainly, got to hear a few stories, but he seems to keep to himself quite a bit recently..

The love of my life is a vet.  Sometimes, he talks about joining back up.  I have mixed feelings about that!

My son is a Veteran.  Seems odd to call him that as he is currently deployed.

He has served 2 tours in Iraq.  Currently he is in Kuwait.

Our town recently sent 20+ WWII veterans to Washington.  They had a great experience.

THANK YOU TO ALL SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN.

My honey is a vet fom the Iraq war- I thank God he was in and out before we met otherwise I'd be a nervous wreck!! I think that men and women who serve are the most deserving of our respect, and if he wanted to go back, i'd support his decision whole-heartedly even if it broke my heart every day.... after all, we are the Land of the Free Because of the Brave!!!!

My grandfather is a WWII vet. He was an MP in the Army. My father was in the Air Force, shortly after the Vietnam war, but he never saw any action. He was honorably discharged, so I guess he's still a veteran I think he said he was a tech sergeant.
I always support veterans' groups like the DAV, PVA, and a lot more. We owe so much to our veterans. Unfortunately today Americans take for granted what these brave people fought to keep, and we're losing most of what America once was.

Yup I am Vet, my step father is a vet. I know tons of them! The great thing about us vets is that the majority of us are willing to help each other.

My father was career Air Force, but the vet I am most proud of is my Japanese Grandfather. He fought in the relatively unknown Russian Front during WW II and was a prisoner of War. He decided that since he had nothing better to do, he should make good use of his time and learn Russian. And so he did. Not extraordinary, but a likeable story about making lemonade out of lemons.
