why do neighbors complain about things that aren't hurting them?

dude, a couple of weeks ago when my upstairs neighbor moved out. me and my fiance were talking to our neighbors on the other side of our building. she complained about my upstairs neighbor and how she had so many garage sales. she said does she get everything for free and sell it? it made me mad coz i liked my upstairs neighbor even though her and her 4 kids were noisey as heck. so what if my neighbor had sales every week! so what if she had lots of things to sell!! she has 4 kids!!!!!!.. she needs to get rid of all the crap that she doesnt need ne more and she also needed the money, guys. she lost her job..and when she did have a job it wasnt enough to get by.. or pay for daycare etc. and she wasnt getting child support. she had to do what she had to do and sell some stuff she didnt need or didnt have room for. the sales were NOT hurting my neighbor on the other side of us.. i dont know why she would complain. dude, for real, this chick is on unemployment but the government owes her for like 7+ weeks of back pay and she wont get on welfare. she has a kid to support and no money and her husbend is never home. ---my neighbor upstairs was worse off then her..she has 4 kids, she was on welfare coz she wasnt getting child support and she was on liheap to get her bills paid. now, come on, why complain about her having sales when it was benefiting the kids? i dont understand people sometimes. leave it alone.. she's all by herself with 4 kids!!!

my neighbors complained about my dog because thier dog hated mine. mine never did anything wrong. when my newborn was in the hospital, theywent to the extent of letting him out and calling p.m.o. it was ridiculous. we had to get him out of the pound. i hate neighbors who complain about everything. so yeah im feelin ya

Wow, don't get me started.  I got a threatening letter from my homeowners assoc. when I put in Direct TV b/c they did not like the satellite.  In my neighborhood you can only have repaint your front door with an approved color paint.  These are not condos they are single family homes.  My fault for moving into a neighborhood with an association.  My dream is to move to the middle of nowhere.  I think people who do things like this just don't have anything else to do.

Some people really hate garage sales.  They think they aren't classy.  But there's not much else you can do when you have a ton of kid stuff.

some people are so insensitive and nosy.They think they are so great and high and noble bacuse its not them.
This happens all the time. they don't know what its like to be on the other side. people should remember this if you not going to help then stay out of it and mind your own and don't look down on others just because you are in better hands. you never know when the tables are turned and then you really have something to complain about, cause no one will listen. Try to be humble and reasonable people

Oh neighbors!!  Where do I begin?  My oppinion is that they just have nothing better to do!  Let's just say, where I live everyone nows everyone else's business because everyone is TOO darn nosey to mind their own business.  I hate gossip!  That's why I just keep to myself and when I see the neighbors I give a smile~Hi an Bye and that's it.  I do not have time for that ~ I can only imagine what stories they might say behind my back ~ since I don not give in to that.

My next door neighbors are really obnoxious. One time we were building a carport and the wife came ver into our yard just to tell my mom about how tacky she thought it looked and just be extremely rude.

We always had little bonfires in our backyard (It's really big) and they never complained to us and then one day they decided to call the fire department and freak out and say we were burning salt treated wood. We were not. They had no reason to think we were. And now we can't have bonfires anymore.

my neighbor who thinks she is doing us a  favor mowed our grass for us when we were gone on vacation, which it did not needed to be mowed we mowed it before we left and we were only gone for 4 days.... anyways she mows her grass on the lowest level possible her grass looks butchered all the time and has burnt spots all over from the sun frying it , so when we came home our grass was butchered and fryed, my husband was so so so mad....and she is always bringing over there old left overs for my kids, i just except and say thanks and pitch it in the garbage, she is so nice but can be very annoying at the same time...

I complained about my neighbor. They never mowed the yard, never weedeat, have a junk car in their front yard, park their vehicles in the yard and their is only dirt there now and no grass. Their landscape is very rarely trimmed and weeds are going from it also. I hated it b/c it decreases the value of not only my home, but everyone's around and it makes it look junky. I think neighbors owe it to their neighbors to at least keep it clean and respectable.

I have found that people like to complain regardless of their conditions. Watch out for people who gossip to you about others bc they are doing the same to you behind your back.

there are blight laws that are enforced for a reason.  that being said, minding your own beeswax has plenty of benefits.  I hermit for many of the reasons listed above.  I also have no use for loud drunks and fools who choose to invade everyone else's space.  the middle of nowhere is absolutely my goal as well!

I live in a six family apt complex and its actually quiet noone complains about one another, everyone tends to stay to themselves!!! so i guess i foud a good apt..lol

I guess I'm lucky not to have any bad neighbors. We just have alot of little kids around us. They sure do love playing in my yard. I don't mind.
