I shop at yard sales toward the end of the day and always offer less than they are asking, and IF I don't get it at my price, I don't buy it, BUT I usually get it.

I get FREE drinks at Kentucky Fried Chicken, because I am a senior. You gotta ask them for it.

I don't have kids, but if I did, I would certainly take advantage of the KIDS EAT FREE NIGHT at the places who offer them.

Me and 4 of my  single, senior friends/neighbors had a supper club. One night a week, one member would cook  and serve supper for everyone. That way you only had took one night per week, but we all got a home coked meal every night. Plus we had a good time.

On the weekends some of us would go out to eat with a Buy One/ Get One FREE coupon. We would also do lunch sometimes during the week like that.

They have all passed away now, and I miss them so very much.

If you are eligible for FREE food at the Food Bank or Church Pantry, then by all means take advantage of whatever you need and qualify for.

I buy the big size of White Vinegar and always have a box of Baking Soda ( or recycle the old one from the fridge )
Vinegar added to the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener. To clean windows/mirrors, especially good in the car to remove the film from smoke. Removes rust stains. Soak my shower head to unclog it. Vinegar and baking soda to keep the drains running good. Baking soda for odor in the carpet. If you google it you'll find all sorts of things.
Also, a little fabric softener ( cheap kind from the dollar store ) mixed with water in a spray bottle instead of something like frebreeze...it not only freshens the air but it removes the static.

Beans are one of the healthiest  and cheapest foods you can eat, BUT many people don't eat them because they cause so much gas. Always wash them then soak them overnight in cool water and just a pinch of baking soda. Drain, Rinse and cook without salt. This takes out most of the gas.

Blackeyed peas do not cause gas, and are so cheap and healthy and very tasty..

Thanks so much for the tip about the Fabric Softner. I don't use Fabric softner, BUT I do use Febreeze sometimes.
