Wet Hair
« on: August 01, 2010, 03:54:49 am »
If I am running late for work and I show up with my hair still sort of wet from the shower, is this unprofessional?

Not if you work with a bunch of wetbacks. ( Ha, Ha, just kidding)

It's a shame that you have to run to work with your hair still wet. Hope you drive safely when you are running late.

if you work in a professional setting, i would have to say
that yeah, it kinda does make you look unprofessional. do
you have to dress business casual? if there's a strict dress
code, i would assume that wet hair would be looked down
upon. even though personally, i think its silly. i mean, as long
as its not an everyday thing, i wouldn't worry about it.
you could always shower/wash your hair the night before?
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I think if you leave your hair down and it's wet your coworkers may wonder why you don't get up earlier so you can look professional BUT if you pull it up and still make it look nice ie. a bun they may think it looks alright.  Again this does depend on if it's a daily thing too I think

If you work in a professional setting then yes. It shows that you kind of don't care what you look like.  Try getting up 30 minutes earlier do what ever it takes to stop yourself from ending up like this.  Sooner or later the boss might decide your not worth bothering with to move up the ladder if he/she feels you can't be dependable.  You can do it.   :peace:

You can always pin it up in a bun. Just fix it up really nice.

THANKS - great answers.  I think my favorite for when I am pressed for time is the bun idea.

yes, I agree it depends on where you work, but it is better to be on time, than to show up with wet hair, being late makes things real bad, people depend on you.
