Free Trials CC# ??
« on: January 24, 2008, 02:52:02 pm »
Hey,

I'm new and was just wondering if it was that anyone could obtain or already have in their posession, an Empty virtual credit card number so I can sign up to the Yahoo Success Center free trial, Ebay free trial and others. They require just a credit card number and don't take out money until end of trial, but it won't matter because it would be empty. We're all helping eachother right? ;D

Is this possible?

Thank You.

Most Credit Card offers do show up on your card even though they are just placing a hold on that amount  They do this to make sure that they will get paid.  I can not advice you how to cancel out of any offer or tell you to cancel out of any offer.   What I can tell you though is to read each offer and the TOS on each offer.  I f you do not read each offer you may wind up paying alot more then you though.

By the response you just gave her, I can tell either your an owner in this web site or getting payed to write on this forum, but besides that I would like to tell the new person from another new person ( which would be me) by using a Fake credit card # can put you in jail for one. And for two that is fraud. And three anyone that help you would be an accomplice to this also and would/could go to jail.
And also like me and so many others we came here to take survey in are spare time to earn extra cash bc we needed it, if we had money to spend we prob wouldn't be here.

I have a question about preauthorization.  I signed up for the stamps offer and used my debit mastercard.  I noticed a charge of $15 right away in my account.  Does this charge disapear or will I really be charged?  I cancelled the free trial already.

Actualy I wish I was getting paid to write on the forums or owned part of the company.  However I am just as new as you are.  But I have been reading the boards enough to I guess sound like I know a thing or two.

It will be re-credited to your account but it is up to your bank. Some credit cards hold for 24 hrs and some can hold up to 72 hrs but this is not until Stamps.com has finally released the hold on the money.
