For those reading my responses, please notice that the fundamental meaning for "proof" is "evidence sufficient to establish a thing as true, or to produce belief in its truth." You will find that the information QON copied from another site (yes, I researched it) is below. You will discover that in the first "proof," it is no "proof" at all. It merely expresses a criticism - that is not the same as a "proof." Well, anyway, here we go:

Quote
#1 Noah, his family, and all of the animals would have died due to toxic levels of oxygen and nitrogen.  This is because the mass of liquid described in the Bible would have raised the atmospheric pressure enough to cause a dramatic increase of these elements.  We know Noah's ark was high in the atmosphere from these verses:

"And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth." (Genesis 7:17) and "And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.  And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that [were] under the whole heaven, were covered.  Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered." (Genesis 7:18-20)

1. We do not know the timing for God "raising the mountains" (Psalm 104:5-9):

Quote
Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers; Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a vesture; The waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away (The mountains rose, the valleys sank down) Unto the place which thou hadst founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth.

From these verses alone, one might reasonably conclude that God made the mountains higher and the valleys deeper to make adjustments for the greater quanity of water on the earth after the flood. He could have done this coincidently with the flood.

2. It should be noted that atmospheric pressure and oxygen concentration are relative to sea level. In other words, as the sea rose, so also did the air they breathed. Simple experiments can easily prove this one. If you would like a list of experiments to prove this to yourself, I can provide them.

So, for those who are thinkers, please disaregard this "proof," for it really doesn't provide a proof at all. In fact, it violates basic scientific knowledge about atmospheric pressure. Moreover, atmospheric pressure changes based upon many variables. One of the foundational truths about atmospheric pressure is that it changes based upon the height of water. One can read about this anywhere on the internet where it discusses atmospheric pressure.

This list kind of reminds me of the first list I read from QON. This is nothing more than faith based criticism - period, end of story!

I didn't "copy".  A lot of the proofs were entirely my own, and for those that weren't, I reworded and/or provided credit with the link that ended the post.

In any event, why did you start an entirely new thread for this?  Do you realize most people are not going to know what the hell you are talking about?  Link to what he's talking about: http://www.fusioncash.net/forum.php?topic=16759.msg209572#msg209572

I tried to be respectful of your always zealous accusation that certain points of evidence can't be referred to as lock-down proof (it's why I listed some of the very good points as "Doubts").  I'd like to see you take down the other dozen points that were made in that thread, though.  Have fun scrounging those creationist sites for "answers" to justify the Noah's Ark fairytale!

I don't see how this has anything to do with Noah not being able to breathe.

I'm not denying this.  However, the composition of the world would have been very different with 6 miles of water on it, which is where the "criticism" of how everyone could have breathed properly on that poorly ventilated boat comes in.  You are also not addressing how the water molecules remained unaltered by being exposed to ultraviolet light that high in the atmosphere.

And what you're trying to do here is discourage people from taking the rest of the list seriously.  Unfortunately for Team God, it really doesn't require much thinking for a person to realize Noah's Ark is a laughable, impossible fairytale.

Also note that my proofs/doubts of Noah's Ark were in no particular order of ranking or importance.

I thought that Mt. Ararat thing was debunked a while ago. There were 2 or 3 other areas around it that looked similar to that overused photo. The only used this one because it resembles an ancient boat the most. These formations are really lava flows from stratovolcano. There are plenty of sources saying it. Here are the most recent.

http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=146941
http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/802106--is-the-latest-noah-s-ark-discovery-a-fake

"Kurdish workers carted wood up Mt. Ararat in order to fake the discovery of Noah’s Ark, an archeologist who worked on the dig says."
"the Chinese took no professional archaeologist or geologist who could verify or document the wood or the structure."
"There are cobwebs up in the beams. You're not going to have wood at 14,000 feet in a glacier to have cobwebs in it. It's impossible to have that situation."
“I don’t know of any expedition that ever went looking for the ark and didn't find it,” said archeologist Paul Zimansky recently told National Geographic"

And, most importantly-
"If the latest proclaimed find of Noah's Ark does indeed turn out to be false, it certainly would not be the first time phony claims have been floated."

Again, there's a REASON why these types of "discoveries" don't show up anywhere reputable.  And the rest of my reasons why Noah's Ark is impossible and preposterous still stand!

it seems kind of "close minded" to post a You-Tube video obviously made for atheists as proof it isn't real when it's still be tested and studied.

1: It's not made "just for atheists" - a lot of Christians call in to that show.
2: It wasn't supposed to be proof.

Sheryl, I read your posts. I'm a bit tired so I'm going to keep this concise and maybe write more later. You bring up NAMI so I thought you should check this out--
http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/scholarly-squad-debunks-biblical-discoveries-noahs-ark-related-and-otherwise/19460930?icid=main

"His skepticism may prove well founded: A former member of the joint team from Noah's Ark Ministries International and Media Evangelism Ltd. that announced the find has circulated an e-mail suggesting that the discovery might have been staged. And if that's the case, it would be just the latest in a series of hoaxes surrounding the much-searched-for vessel"

"In the past, biblical scholars and archaeologists rolled their eyes when claims of a blockbuster find emerged, preferring to keep quiet rather than dignify them with a response. But scholars now worry that their silence has allowed such claims to breed, damaging the whole field's credibility. "

"My concern is that well-meaning Christians jump the gun, and this thing becomes viral on the Internet. A lot of Christians are confused because they thought the ark was found two years ago, or two years before that."

"He points out that one member of the recent expedition, Yeung Wing-Cheung, has directed a documentary about the hunt for the ark and is selling the DVD online. The Media Evangelism Ltd., meanwhile, operates a Noah's Ark theme park that needs to sell tickets. "

"The gullible believers and evangelicals, along with other faiths, throw money at these expeditions not knowing whether they're going to produce anything," he says. "Every year we have to scrounge for money to run a real excavation that may shed some real light."

I'll get back to you on evolutionary things you wrote (unless someone beats me to it). I'm too tired to type anymore tonight.
