Absolutely not.  It's too bad that people think they are just so important and the stupid little messages that they have to send back and forth RIGHT NOW are much more important than the life of another person.  Way too dangerous to be doing while driving.

No I don't personally agree with it... we need lot of concentration for driving and it is not preferable to do any other work while driving

i wish nh would make that a law. thats how my son was killed. we were in a car accident, the girl was texting, didnt realize her headlights werent on and went into our lane. but she never got in any trouble even though she admits to it.

Oprah is trying to make it a law not to text and drive. I agree. People need to pull over or wait till they get to their destination. Nothing is that important!!!!

It depends on how much you value Your Life and The lives of Others Around you......If you are selfish, then you do it on a daily basis, and its only a matter of time......You will cause an accident, or become part of one!!!!!

Way too many innocents have been killed on the road this way. When I am driving, I think about My family and the other families driving around me who want to get home to their spouses and their loved ones on that particular day, everyday, and how important it is for me and everyon else to get home to them. This allows me to make smart decisions, and stay far away from those who are not paying attention to the road......

People who text while driving don't really have anything important in their lives to think about, nor do they care about others on the road, or anything special to go home to, I guess. So its almost like saying:"I would rather die on this highway and cause injury or death to others than miss a text from my best friend about  some cute boots she found!", or gossip, ect.

I say this because if you text while driving, you dont care about paying attention to the road and everyone else on it, nor do you value your OWN life!!!!!!!

To everyone that has lossed a loveone this way, I am sorry for your loss, and I hope the people that caused it pay for what they've done-if they haven't paid the ultimate price already.

Just remember..... If you are not doing the texting, then you genuinelly care about others around you when you are driving, and your'e fighting the good fight.

NO! There are enough distractions on the roads-it should be illegal to do anything while driving except DRIVE

If you are against the no texting while driving law, I would suggest to you that you google it and watch the videos. It will change your mind about it.

Texting while driving is just not right! Doing other things while youre driving distracts you and I like the no texting while driving laws!

Some people are able to text/talk while driving while still having the ability to concentrate on driving.  I think that this is a small percentage.  Because we can't play favorites for those that can handle it than I think that the law is sound in stating that everyone must conform and stop for the safety of all that are driving.  Whenever I run across someone who is making errors while driving they are generally on their cell phones.

it's illegal in michigan, not sure why it's not made a national thing but i was driving down the road last summer and some guy had his phone on top of the steering wheel texting and he was driving between the two lanes. it's not even something i'd feel comfortable doing.
