Definitely not.  There are so many people who cannot multitask thus they should also not talk on their cell phone without a headset which has been a law for a  while but obviously not enforced.  Texting and driving is about one of the stupidest things to try.

This seems obvious.

The ads in which a partial text is shown with the statement "this was what (insert name here) as texting when
(s)he crashed and died." are chilling.

Texting while driving is very dangerous.  I am all for it and we should ban together and make sure our children and grandchildren do not text while driving.

I don't see the big deal with it. You should be able to text while driving just like you should be able to train your pet squirrel monkey to do somersaults, put on your clown make-up for the kids birthday party gig you're late for, work out quadratic equations on your calculator, pre-mix that triple layer cake your going to pop in the oven when you get to the office so it's ready for your co-workers going away party, teach your daughters (who are in the back seat of the car) how to crochet that intricate pattern your grandmother always used, work out on graph paper just how you want to design your bonsai garden........we DO have rights in this country, ya' know?!

Sorry, but I found this question ridiculous.

no you should not it is very dangerous and i saw a show  on dr phil where  you are 30 more times a chance to be in accident. people dont think when they are driving as it is . here in Memphis there is always something going on and more then not someone is texting .

Ya that passeda law like that here in Michigan too. If it makes the roads safer than yes texting should be banned while driving. I dont wanna get into a car accident and you can be a great driver but if your by someone distracted your at just as much risk of getting hurt

Absolutely 100 percent NOT. This is a big no no, how can you concentrate on the road and text, do you text when taking your driving test, would you NO, then you are not capable, of doing when driving, too many people think they can, maybe my son don't need a car after all, that is all he does.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I think it is absolutely rediculous that some people are actually putting other inocent people in danger because they do not feel like pulling over the car to send a text.  I mean seriously get real people, it is terribly dangerous.  Not to mention that is the reason for the majority of these deadly car accidents.  :BangHead: :BangHead: :angry7:

No. It distracts the driver.
